Award winning television veterans Hal Linden (Barney Miller) and Dan Lauria (The Wonder Years) star in Two Jews, Talking at Flat Rock Playhouse. Don’t miss the Emmy, Tony, and Golden Globe award winning duo in a side-splitting piece written by Ed. Weinberger. These two characters take us on a rollicking romp through time! The two-act story brings Lou and Bud together in the Biblical past, and Phil and Marty together in contemporary Long Island. They philosophize about women, sex, food, the divine, and destiny in this tale of companionship and friendship.
Organic Growers School is partnering with Mother Earth News to jointly produce the OGS 29th Spring Conference March 18-20, 2022 at Mars Hill University. Attendees will enjoy the usual favorite array of robust workshops, with an added bonus of new speakers and vendors joining the community.
Friday’s pre-conference workshops consist of four deep-dive, all-day opportunities. Choose between “Carbon Farming and Agroforestry,” “Build It, Plumb It, Hack It: The Basics of Fix, Mend, and Make for the Farm and Garden,” “Mushrooms, Mold, and Mycorrhizae,” and “Water Resilience and Mitigation: Practical Adaptations for Farm and Home.”
Saturday and Sunday’s conference programming consist of a wide variety of short sessions and nine half-day workshops. Choose tracks that most align with your interests, such as Cooking, Forest Farming, Herbs, Living on the Land, Permaculture, and more. Presenters include Sandor Katz, Tyson Sampson, Angie Lavezzo, and more.
OGS and Mother Earth News, both organizations with deep roots in the region, are similar in mission, values, and both have deep roots in the region. This conference and partnership allows them to leverage our relationships for the benefit of their audiences.

Learn the ins and outs of sketch comedy in this eight-week course for adults led by Flat Rock Playhouse’s favorite comedic actor, Scott Treadway! Dive into the history of two-person comedy, learn about the straight man vs character actor and how to break down comedic beats and jokes in a script. Hone your skills in delivery, timing, and physicality as you pair up and perform a comedic scene, coached and directed by Scott. Laugh, learn and level up your comedy skills in this low-pressure, highly-humorous class.
Instructor: Scott Treadway
*** All participating students must be fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination presented on the first day of class.
Masks are optional at this time.

WHOSE LIVE ANYWAY? is 90 minutes of hilarious improvised comedy and song all based on audience suggestions. Cast members Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, and Joel Murray will leave you gasping with the very witty scenes they invent before your eyes. Audience participation is key to the show so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast onstage! The Opera Locos was awarded the Best Musical at the Max Awards for the Performing Arts in 2019. The Max Awards are considered to be the most important performing arts awards in Spain, comparable to the Tony Awards.
