Women’s Paddlefest at NOC!!
The Ladies Southeast Paddling Series has moved to Nantahala Outdoor Center for a three-day paddle festival, hosted by inspirational paddler Anna Levesque! This festival is all about creating community by connecting, sharing, paddling, and supporting each other on the river. Trips will be offered on the Tuckaseegee River (Class I-II), the Nantahala River (Class II-III), and the Ocoee River (Class II-IV) representing a range of skill levels, and is open to all women in all water craft!
Donations and registration fees benefit the Shannon Christy Memorial Fund, an organization that supports non-profits focused on women’s empowerment.
Registration: Registration is $45 and Includes an event t-shirt, dinner, and one raffle ticket. Registration is available from January 1, 2020 to May 15, 2020. Our sponsors have donated a Dagger Kayak of choice, a Werner Paddle, and NRS gear among other awesome prizes for a raffle on Saturday! Additional raffle tickets can be purchased on site.

It’s like a walk, but not – it’s a ZERO K!
CRC for ED and EDIN are partnering to raise awareness and funds for eating disorders support. This virtual campaign kicks-off on Monday, May 11th and closes on ‘Zero K Day’ (June 8th).
PRODUCTION DATES: August 14-30, 2020; Performances Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 2:30 pm; Cast must plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to show time.
REHEARSALS: June 14-August 13, 2020; Rehearsals generally held Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:30-9:30 pm. All actors will not necessarily be needed for every rehearsal or for the entire rehearsal. The 2nd Annual Light Up the Night 5K is set for Friday, August 7th at Carrier Park, Asheville, North Carolina and this year the nighttime charity run means more than ever. We want to send a HUGE thank you to the key sponsors who are helping to make this event happen: AdventHealth, Hensley Cloninger Law Firm and Owle Construction. Proceeds from this event directly benefit the Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, which exists to serve the homeless, poor and addicted populations of Western North Carolina.
Since COVID-19 hit our community in March, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) has served double the amount of individuals in need with hot meals, and has seen a nearly 200 percent increase in grocery support.
iDaph Events is proud to help support the Western Carolina Rescue Ministries by presenting the 2nd Annual Light Up the Night 5k: A fundraising, glow-in-the-dark, nighttime, walk/run event that welcomes all people regardless of ability, race, color, ethnicity, gender or faith. New for this year: A 5K Virtual Run/Walk that can be completed ANYWHERE.
Last year the run started at WCRM in downtown Asheville and wound through the streets of Montford. It was a huge success, raising over $7,000 to help combat homelessness in our local area thanks to the support of our community members, runners and members of WCRM.
