We’ll have a hot sauce bar on the patio! If it gets too spicy, we’ve got the cure! ….AND NOW INTRODUCING THE NEXT EVOLUTION of SELZTER INGENUITY… SELTZER COCKTAILS!!!! That’s right! We are adding a special patio popup seltzer bar to the mix, serving some killer Mexican inspired cocktails, and dressing our Lime Lager “Ashtray” style to heat things up!

DSSOLVR believes in celebrating culture and supporting our community. That’s why a portion of our proceeds will benefit Pisgah Legal and be donated directly to the Together We Dream Fundraising Challenge. Providing Pisgah Legal with more resources to respond to the critical needs facing immigrant neighbors.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Battle of Puebla, where Mexican forces, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza, triumphed over French forces on May 5, 1862. This victory was a turning point in Mexico’s history and served as a symbol of Mexican resilience and determination.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the rich history and culture of Mexico while celebrating with our new Mexican lime lager, patio cocktails, and delicious food. We hope you’ll join us in supporting our community and raising awareness for immigrant rights. Salud!

Featured composers will include Florence Price, Amy Beach, Sarah Quartel, as well as local composer, Jane Roman Pitt. The chorus will be accompanied on organ and piano by Tate Addis. The park will host a community “Juneteenth Freedom Fest” on Sunday, June 11 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in cooperation with the Black History Collective of Henderson County. The event will feature music and art demonstrations, with a special presentation by Christopher D. Sims, a poet, activist, and spoken work performer.

Auditions for our September show, Honky Tonk Angels, will be held

Strong singers in the country/gospel style

Each Auditioner will:

1. Sing a short SOLO in the country or gospel style. (Bring sheet music for the accompanist.)
2. Participate in a short DANCE audition.
3. READ from the script.

When three gutsy gals from different backgrounds take charge of their lives, they decide to follow their honky tonk dreams to the city of Nashville. Combining 30 classic country tunes (including “Stand By Your Man,” “9 to 5,” “Harper Valley PTA,” and more!) Honky Tonk Angels is a hilarious, foot-stomping good time from the creator of Always… Patsy Cline.

CHARACTERS:
– ANGELA (late 30s- early 40s). A Texas housewife who has a great sense of humor and a fiercely independent streak. She identifies with “Roseanne,” an earth-mother comedienne.
– DARLENE (late teens- early 20s). A young woman from the Deep South. She is pretty, sweet, and simple. She grew up in a coal mining town in West Virginia and the Mississippi Delta. She plays simple guitar. She also clogs.
– SUE ELLEN (early to mid- 30s). A Los Angeles career woman. She is a “citified” country girl. Smart, very attractive, sexy and frustrated. She dances, roller skates, and twirls baton (if possible). She also clogs. She should be a very good dancer.

Join us this Saturday, July 1, for a spectacular Fireworks celebration! (sponsored by the Town of Beech Mountain and Beech Mountain TDA). Adventure seekers and families can take in the beautiful show from the resort village, Play Yard slope, or Lodge at dusk. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and the whole family can come early for live music, inflatables, and games for all ages. Bring your friends and let’s make some magical memories!
