Spirituality & Healing the Medical Medium®️ Way

Food and Supplementation are often at the forefront of the Medical Medium®️ healing discussions. But one of the MOST important aspects of healing is the SPIRITUAL aspect of healing.

What we’ll do:

11:00 Short introductions
11:15 Discussion/Q&A
11:55 Bathroom Break
12:00 Continue Discussion/Q&A
12:25 Closing Blessing

(Please be on time. We’ll begin right at 11:00).

*Please be in a location with a quiet background and where you can devote your full attention to the person speaking. We often get personal and emotional and being present helps keep this a safe and compassionate space.

Organically Divine: 3 Big Questions

Organically Divine: 3 Big Questions

Organically Divine
Rev. Darlene Strickland
Minister at Unity of the Blue Ridge

Unconsciously a person crafts an individual identity and personal reality. As Ram Dass said, “We all go through ‘Somebody’ training”. All the while, our Divine Identity is intact, organic, complete, and immutable. In any moment you can realize and live from your Divine Identity. You do not have to acquire your Divine Identity; you have only to mature in your experiential understanding of this essential identity and allow it to become your moment-by-moment reality.

*****

Rev. Darlene Strickland is a spiritual visionary and mystic for our times. She is an outstanding speaker and singer who has a knack for weaving spiritual wisdom and transformational practices into real life experiences.

Darlene is an openly intuitive, gay, cancer survivor, who experienced an extraordinary and powerful kundalini awakening when she lived and worked on Maui. Speaking of that experience and what followed, she said “You can’t poo-poo what’s woo-woo if it happens to you-you”.

Raised in eastern North Carolina, Darlene became uncomfortably aware of racial injustice and religious intolerance at an early age. “I was white in the rural South and I was part of the ‘right’ religious affiliation. So, I was told. But my heart knew there were no better-than or less-than people… and my soul knew we came from the one, same divine Source.”

Darlene became an Ordained Unity Minister in 2004 and previously served ministries in Kansas, Hawaii and Washington State. Prior to seminary, she served as the Music Director at Unity of the Triangle in Raleigh, N.C. She currently serves as Senior Minister at Unity of The Blue Ridge in Mills River, N.C.

Before entering seminary, Darlene was a Senior Executive in the children’s toy industry, working with BRIO Toys and TY Inc. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is a Seminary graduate of Unity Worldwide Institute.

She lives with her partner Tia and their fur-angel Ari Grace. Life is best when rendezvous with Mother Nature, family time, and sharing home cooked meals and hearty laugher are involved!

All are invited to join St. John in the Wilderness for any or all of our Lenten Series sessions, to take place each Thursday evening in Lent. The evenings each have three offerings all of which are open to the public with adults and youth most welcome. You do not have to be present for all three portions of the event to participate. See below for details.

  • Evening Prayer at 6:00 in the Atrium Chapel in the Parish Hall

  • Dinner at 6:30 in the Parish Hall – RSVP required below – $8/person or $20/family of 3+

  • Program from 7:00 to 8:00 in the Parish Hall, or join via Zoom with RSVP

Our Lenten program this year will be led by the Sisters of the Community of St. Mary. These Episcopal Nuns live at their convent in Sewanee, TN and are members of a monastic movement that goes back to 1865 when their order was started in New York. The sisters will take turns sharing with us the richness of their ancient monastic way of life. Together we will learn about their Benedictine way of living that includes prayers, work, radical hospitality, rich community, accountability, and more. While many think of monks and nuns as being something restricted to the Roman Catholic Church, the Episcopal Church has a long history of monastic life that continues to influence our churches to this day.

For the first session on March 3, we will host the Prioress of the Community of St. Mary, Sister Madeleine Mary, who will travel from Sewanee to be with us. Sister Madeleine Mary has been living in religious life for over 50 years having entered the cloister after teaching middle school in New York and spending time advocating for environmental justice issues.

In the sessions following on March 10, March 17, March 24, March 31, and April 7, we will meet in person at the Parish Hall to gather for a virtual visit with other Sisters from the Order, including Sister Hannah Winkler, who made her life profession in January 2021, and Sister Elizabeth Grace, who will share on Rule of St. Benedict’s emphasis on humility. You may also participate on Zoom for any of the sessions, but we will hope you will join us in person if you can. Click here to sign up to be emailed a Zoom link.

All are also invited to join us for Evening Prayer in the Atrium Chapel of the Parish Hall at 6:00pm on each Thursday in Lent (March 3 – April 7). Dinner follows at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall. RSVP and pay for dinner by clicking the one of the boxes below by Tuesday of each week so food is not wasted. Masks will be required except when eating.

Sister Madeleine Mary will also be preaching at St. John in the Wilderness on Sunday, March 6, at the 8:45 and 11:00 services. Please join us as we journey through Lent together.

What are the Akashic Records + how does a Healing Circle work?
Mar 8 @ 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
online

What are the Akashic Records & how does a Healing Circle work?

Hey there,
I thought it might be helpful to have a meeting about these things:

  • What are the Akashic Records?
  • How does a reading work?
  • How do the Akashic Records help you heal pain from your past?
  • How else can you use them to improve your life and find more peace, joy, confidence, and freedom? (by freedom, I mean… freedom from the past, running thoughts, negative thinking, fear, anger, shame, regrets, and releasing the past while intending the future you desire)

Honestly, if you’d told me back in 2008 that I’d be ‘reading’ the Akashic Records for myself and others, I’d have laughed. I didn’t even know what they were, and I was never interested in being an intuitive.

However, we ALL are intuitive, and whenever I provide a reading I make it clear – I am the least important person in the room. This is all about YOU and your Divine Team (the Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones + angels, guides, past lives, and other information) who are loving you and guiding you.

If you want to learn more about the Akashic Records, how they work, and how I run a Healing Circle… join me!

This is virtual (on Zoom), so I can have an unlimited number of people on the call. Grab a drink, curl up on your couch, and join me… I’d love to meet you :)

Forest Bathing
Apr 20 @ 5:41 pm – 6:41 pm
Transfiguration Preserve

Join us for a session of forest bathing. This walk will provide time to enjoy a 2 1/2 hour experience in the blooming spring forest as we discover what the dynamic season invites us to explore.

Mattie is a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. She is also a Zen practitioner, an Episcopal oblate, and a retired education professor, and she is certified in wilderness first aid. This event is one of our monthly forest bathing walks. Forest bathing is a practice from Japan that has been gaining attention in the West. Forest bathing is not about getting exercise. It’s not about hiking to get somewhere. It’s about being present in the forest, taking it in. It’s about creating relationships between humans and the more-than-human world.

To keep everyone safe, these walks are limited to 12 participants. Registration is required.

A donation of $30 is suggested for forest bathing walks, for those who are able. Donations are not required and the amount of your gift is entirely up to you. Donations of $35 or more will include Conserving Carolina membership benefits.

Activation in the Park
Jun 25 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
French Broad River Park
Activation in the Park

Activation in the Park

French Broad River Park: Go to the parking lot off of Riverview Drive, which is off of Amboy Rd. Find the cobalt blue canopy tent!

We will be as close to as directly across the parking lot as we can, near the water, with the tent (go past the bathrooms and head to the water). So, you should be able to find us pretty easily if it’s your first time).

We’ll enjoy meditations/visualizations, psychic ability empowerment, chakra activations, and lively discussions about how we can participate in the evolution of the new earth… a world where truth and the ethos of love (e.g.: Law of One) are the guiding forces.

All who are interested in spiritual growth and evolution and getting to know others who are “on their wavelength” are welcome.

NOTE: Bring a chair, pillow, or towel to sit on, an open mind, and energies of love, receptivity, and curiosity.

We look forward to meeting you!

Opening the Door to Spirit (Introduction To Mediumship)
Jul 23 @ 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Bullington Gardens

Note: this is a two-day course which takes place on Saturday, July 23, and Sunday, July 24, 9:30AM-5PM each day.

This is a beginners class for students wanting to learn the skills, exercises, and the fundamentals of mediumship. (Students need to bring a pen and notebook. Printed handouts will be also provided.)

Anthony Mikolojeski will be teaching students the foundation and techniques behind mediumship, and all healing aspects. Students will begin to learn various exercises in how to expand their energy to connect with loved one’s in the spirit world. Students will be engaging in exercises with each other while being mentored by Anthony. They will learn the boundaries, the responsibilities and professional ethics surrounding doing this work.

We will be doing a few singing bowl meditations, practice in meeting spirit guides we haven’t met before and learning techniques on how to build your personal power.

(Because of the summer tourist season and increased high traffic, students will be expected to allow extra traveling time so you arrive promptly for class.) We will start at 9:30 am sharp.

I just love what I do and look forward to to working with everyone in class!❤️

Lunch will be provided along with water, coffee, teas, and chilled beverages. (Please indicate if you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please email Anthony at: [email protected].

Anthony has studied with some of the best mediums in the U.S and U.K such as James Van Praagh, Tony Stockwell, Mavis Pitilla, and Sheila French, just to name a few. He has completed a mentorship in mediumship with James Van Praagh and advanced mentorship with Mavis Pitilla. Anthony has also studied at the prestigious Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England, in advanced mediumship.

Anthony Mikolojeski is known as the Asheville Medium. He has traveled internationally demonstrating mediumship on stage and provided personal readings. You can read more about his background, how he works or to book your next appointment at his website: ashevillemedium.com

Activation in the Park
Jul 23 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Activation is 2 hours together: The 1st hour is a discussion and sharing (OPEN conversation with a topic we choose from a container that all participate in), a sharing from a group member or members, and then the last hour is a chakra detox/tune up via meditations/guided visualizations, or a psychic ability empowerment session led by the hosts Natalie and Adriane.

This is how we participate TOGETHER in the evolution of “New Earth” energies moving into a world where truth and the ethos of love-light (e.g.: Law of One ideation) are the guiding forces.

All who are interested in spiritual growth, OPEN-MINDED conversations that include the light and dark of our planet, evolution, and the desire to co-create and get to know others who are like-hearted (not just like-minded) are welcome!

We look forward to meeting you!

Intuitive Art & Alchemy – Retreat into the Soul
Aug 4 @ 2:00 pm – 2:00 pm
The Prama Institute

COME HOME TO YOURSELF. FIND WHOLENESS THROUGH EXPLORATION AND DEEP PLAY.

Through process painting, breathwork journeys, circles, and embodied experiences, we will dive into our inner worlds to let our Souls’ Wisdom speak.

You are a powerful, creative being worthy of expression. Within you lies a boundless world of images, symbols, and forms unique to your Soul. Too often, so many of us have had to squelch or dampen our own inner creative fire out of fear of criticism, rejection, or from past discouragement. But no more. Your creativity is your power. It is a portal for accessing what is within and giving it a space in which to be seen, heard, and fully witnessed.

As part of this retreat, we will use the basic tools of tempera paint, brushes and paper to tap and express from the life force energy that is inherent within each one of us. Imagine having the materials and encouragement for your inner child to come out and play with vibrant color, lines, and form without any critique or criticism, but simply to play and revel in joyous bliss, Soul-nourishment, and deep surrender.
With loving support, you will be guided to reconnect with your inner self and wholeness using painting as a tool for self-discovery. Process painting is about the experience of showing up to ourselves, not about the finished painting. No prior art experience necessary. All materials will be provided.

DEEPEN INTO YOUR OWN EMBODIED WISDOM AND EXPRESS YOUR SOUL’S TRUTH.

Each day we will be in gentle-yet-potent self-exploration, ceremonies, and personal practices that will create space for deepened wholeness that will surely be felt long after our time together.

This retreat is a safe space to be all that you are. We wholeheartedly welcome adults of all ages, genders, gender expressions, sexual orientations, races, nationalities, and backgrounds.
We will gather in a group between 10 to 20 people.

Facilitated by the creators of Wisdom of the Shadow and Wisdom of the Divine Feminine: Jessica Ricchetti (Author, Priestess, Energy Alchemist) and Jenny Hahn (Artist and Workshop Facilitator). Transformational experiences are a key element of our own lives as well as our work… and this retreat is an expression of what we honor most deeply.
Join us, Wise one…
