The famously tall 50-foot lighted tree and the Quilt Garden will be back, outfitted with new designs in lights, while throughout the gardens, popular arrangements will mingle with ones never seen before.

Things to do at Sky Top

This district was where it was happening in the Gilded Age of Hendersonville. Starting in 1879, the train depot brought steam engines and hordes of summer visitors, which in turn attracted drays, hustle, handsome hotels and overnight boarding houses, shoot-outs, candy stores, a lively livestock yard, and a thriving neighborhood.

We have an Amphitheater to winterize and some beer to drink!

Starting at 10am in November 20th and continuing until we are done, we’re taking down parts of the stage, throwing out a lot of the cumulative trash from the season and generally readying the grounds and stage-house for the off-season. We can use your help!

Skilled or unskilled, patron or member, we’d LOVE for you to join us for one last get-together for the sake of Montford Park Players. We’ll be providing the lunch and the beer!

Bring gloves and any tools that might help, but even if you don’t have, there’s much we can use your help with.

Calling all audiophiles, foodies, music lovers, and history nerds!

Come downtown for a behind the scenes look at Citizen Vinyl’s record pressing operation & the original WWNC radio station now home to Citizen Studios, and the inside scoop on the Session Cafe & Bar, and Coda Analog Art & Record Store located in the historic Citizen-Times building in downtown Asheville – an incredible specimen of the Art Moderne style whose grand civic space serves to celebrate the history of manufacturing & craft alongside the current state of music, food & beverage within our local community.

Gather at the Coda Shop Counter for your guide at the scheduled time, Tours will last ~45 minutes.

[Punctuality is appreciated! Late-comers may join in at any point before the group heads up to the recording studio, about 20 minutes in]

Tour Guides come from various departments within Citizen Vinyl, whether it be our record store, pressing plant, or programming team to deliver a comprehensive overview of how this vinyl pressing operation fits into Asheville’s cultural legacy.
