Grovewood Gallery will celebrate spring with two
days of demos, discounts, and wine on March 20 and 21. The Sip and Shop will take place
from 10am – 5:30pm with artist demonstrations from 11am – 4pm on both days. Visitors
can enjoy complimentary wine while shopping two expansive floors of finely crafted
furniture, ceramics, jewelry and much more, contributed by over 400 artists and
craftspeople from across the United States. Gallery merchandise will be discounted 10
percent.  Free parking is available on site.

Grab a glass and get hands-on at the Arboretum’s new “Crafty Hour” social series. Led by Melissa Thomas of Flora living boutique, each workshop features a new project design that enables participants to craft their own personalized botanical masterpiece while enjoying an afternoon at the Arboretum with friends.

Katelyn Kirnie Director of Public Art Chattanooga will share projects and address the question, How do you acknowledge a city’s history of racial tension and exclusion while also building public spaces that welcome and celebrate diversity? James McKissic, President of Artsbuild will share how their Equity in the Arts Grant program is building a more inclusive Chattanooga and how the organization has changed funding to be more equitable and responsive to Chattanooga’s arts and cultural community.Both presenters will share examples of how Creative Placemaking is empowering residents to make positive change in their communities.
