A poignant and hilarious tour of the last frontier, the ultimate forbidden zone, The Vagina Monologues is a celebration of the feminine experience in all its complexity and mystery. Based on countless interviews conducted with real-life women, the production features stories of body image, consensual and nonconsensual sexual experiences, genital mutilation, direct and indirect encounters with reproduction, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women of various ages, races, sexualities, and other differences. A recurring theme throughout the piece is the vagina as a tool of female empowerment and the ultimate embodiment of individuality.

Currently, she stars as Jesse in the Hulu cartoon Solar Opposites by the creators of Rick and Morty. Other television credits include TBS’ Conan, Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Last Call with Carson Daly, and The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. She’s appeared in Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival, HBO’s Andy Kaufman Awards, San Francisco’s Sketchfest, and the Dry Bar comedy series. When not touring, Mary spends way too much time and money working on her vintage camper in the woods of Northern Wisconsin. She was the winner of the 2023 “Queer of the Year” competition at the P3 Comedy Fest. Also a history buff, Gabbie hosts iHeart podcast American Filth, where she tells a filthy story from American history every week through a bisexual revisionist lens. Her comedy songs are beloved by hordes of mentally ill adults on TikTok.

What happens when Washington, D.C.’s premiere, political satire group – The Capitol Steps – call it quits after nearly 40 years? Most folks would agree that it was a great run, and the story would end there.
But an intrepid group of cast members and a co-writer would not go quietly into that good night. This band of fools reflected on a world without musical, political satire, and didn’t like what they saw. And just like that The Capitol Fools were born.
