Additionally we offer pick-up or delivery with online ordering available on our website. We would also like to announce a change in our management. After decades of fantastic work in the service industry, Sam Douglas, is leaving to be able to spend more time with his family and explore opportunities in real estate. While we are sad to see him go, we’re excited to announce that our Executive Chef, Chris Benson, will be adding the role of General Manager. He’ll bring along some familiar faces to help him, Savanna Millet as Front of House Manager and Christopher Ducker as Sous Chef. Using their combined 50 years of industry experience, they’ll work together to make sure Bone & Broth continues to be your favorite spot in town. Patio Show: Shaken Nature
Aug 30 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Grey Eagle

PATIO SHOW: Shaken Nature

Shaken Nature is the sick, strange story of four young highwaymen who found themselves stranded in the Appalachian wilderness of Asheville, North Carolina. Rather than left for dead, they decided to trade in their buckskins and Winchesters for fender guitars and vintage pearl drums. Fans of The Velvet Underground or Brian Jonestown Massacre are bound to love with this crunchy, psychedelic, big-hearted Rock n’ roll band. The band is quoted in saying their genre is somewhere between “Outlaw-Psych” and “Post-Punk Gospel.”

Shaken Nature is led by guitar playing duo Miles Constable and Benito Rose Plaza. Plaza hails from the west and was involved with some great bands in Austin, TX (i.e. Annabelle Chairlegs). Constable gained notoriety in Tallahassee, Florida where he played in heavy garage rock group “The Royal Heavies” and swampy fuzzed out band “Black Cloud”. The two met shortly after moving to Asheville in 2016 and formed the preliminary bones of the group which would become “Shaken Nature.” Tyson Phillips would come to join as drummer in 2018 and Sean Miller on bass a few months after. Their first show with the current lineup came in early 2019 at the legendary “Grey Eagle” in Asheville, opening for world renowned psychedelic ensemble “Night Beats.”

Asheville Gallery of Art
August Show
“Vistas, Vibes and Visitors”

“Vistas, Vibes and Visitors” at Asheville Gallery of Art

Asheville Gallery of Art’s August show, “Vistas, Vibes and Visitors,” is a multi-artist show that highlights the diversity of our members’ art and celebrates all that makes Asheville great. The show runs August 1-31 during gallery hours to be announced.

We named this show after everything that best encapsulates what Asheville means to us as artists. We live in a corner of the world that is rich in vistas, whether we’re in town, roaming the mountains or looking out our windows. And the unique Asheville vibe never fails to give us energy and encouragement to be who we are. The show is also about our visitors who support and contribute to Asheville’s thriving art scene. While we’ve missed in-person interactions with tourists and local collectors lately, we look forward to opening our doors wide to everyone once again.

As a 31-member cooperative, Asheville Gallery of Art embraces the diversity of styles, techniques, mediums and viewpoints each of our artists uses to interpret both the inner and outer world. Even during this time of pandemic life, we have stayed connected to one another and to our resilient mountain community. We continue to focus on making new and exciting works and letting our art speak for us.

We wish to share this new work with you as soon as we can. Please look for our re-opening date and updated hours by visiting the gallery website at www.ashevillegallery-of-art.com, or find us on Facebook. While at our website, please be sure to visit our new online store.
