This year has looked mighty different for us all, but we still want to ring it out with one of our time honored traditions: The Annual Keg Drop! Join us at Biltmore Park at 6pm on New Year’s Eve (midnight in Belgium!) as we say “See Ya!” to 2020 with our festive golden keg drop. We’ll be tapping our Must Love Coconut IPA with mini party kegs available to go for you to continue your festivities at home!
Mitch Fortune brings you an irreverent and nostalgia filled night of pop culture trivia every Thursday night 7-9 pm at the One Stop in Downtown Asheville. A potpourri of movies, music, TV show trivia just for you!

The John Henrys have been entertaining loyal, local audiences as the house band at 5 Walnut Winebar in downtown Asheville every Tuesday night for ten years . The band features Jon Corbin and Hank Bones on guitars, Taylor Pierson on piano, Kevin Kehrberg on bass, Lyndsay Pruett on violin and Russ Wilson on Vocals. Specializing in a mixture of Gypsy Jazz, Standards (Great American Songbook), Swing, Country and originals the group makes fun, happy music on the fly. This performance is not to be missed!
Come enjoy New Years Eve with an evening of live music, food and drinks to celebrate the END of 2020. Reservations are highly recommended.

“The Sons of Ralph” are the sons of Bluegrass pioneer Ralph Lewis. Martin and Don Lewis, Cousin Steve Moseley, and the “other brother” Ozzie Orengo, Jr. are the musicians who make up this band of Bluegrass masters – playing and singing the unique style of bluegrass music since Ralph’s upbringing in Madison County. The purpose of Coffee and Conversation is to have productive talk and dialogue that build communities, foster ideas of growth, solidarity and networking. In essence, no matter what we do in our daily living, our mission with “Enjoy Your Life”, is to promote others through positive action and empowerment. Remember, the temperature is changing and nights are getting colder. If you have any old coats please bring them to this Saturday’s meeting. Weekly sound healing sessions are held here at Skinny Beats Sound Shop (4 Eagle St – Asheville, NC) every Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 AM. We lay yoga mats on the floor and lower the blinds to create a meditative space that helps you clear your mind and relax to our unique soundscape of crystal singing bowls, expansive gongs, handpans, didgeridoos, rainsticks, and more. We are currently limiting public sessions to 10 people. Please call for info regarding private sessions.
Join us for three hours “off the eaten path” as we find and gather over a dozen wild edibles. We’ll whip up a little tasting right on the trail. Take home the rest of your finds and/or get ready for some find dining when one of our award-winning restaurant partners prepares your “catch of the day,” with lunch, brunch or dinner, for free. To put action steps to the desire to help others. Anyone who is interested in helping those who are food insecure. We will organize a way to offer a meal once weekly to those in need.

Law of Attraction (LOA) is a powerful guideline that can be utilized within our lives, and impacts ourselves as well as the collective consciousness. Let’s discuss practical, everyday ways we use and apply these tools in 2020! This session’s discussion will be, “Visualization exercises in LOA.” No advance prep, reading or knowledge required. Come with an open mind and heart, free of judgement, and let’s learn together! This is an inclusive, informal, interactive discussion for people will all levels of LOA understanding.
Some other topics we will cover in future discussions include:
– How to utilize LOA to manifest best case scenarios
– Gratitude practices as a tool in manifestation
– Honoring your own feelings, emotions and well being (and others) as a form of self care while manifesting
– Staying grounded, avoiding toxic positivity and spiritual bypassing when manifesting
– Visualization exercises in LOA
– Manifesting on specific themes (love, money, good health, etc.)
Discussions will be held by Kathryn Brahaney, myself. I’ve utilized Law of Attraction in having a significantly better recovery than anticipated from two major car accidents, in receiving a job offer that allowed me to relocate to Asheville, NC (where I live now) and in finding my favorite apartment to date in a city I wasn’t sure would be in my budget. I started these discussions to share my experience using Law of Attraction and to provide opportunities to learn more that are accessible and affordable. Looking forward to sharing more with you all and chatting about how we can use LOA in navigating the rest of 2020 and beyond!

Deciding to open or holding tight has been extremely difficult & nerve wracking. We are super stoked to be so close to opening that we can taste it, but damn are we facing some serious challenges! Opening a new restaurant or any business is far from easy by any sense of the word especially during a pandemic. Tremendous challenges, limited alcohol sales, curfews & now limitations to 30% indoor capacity.
This being said, we have chosen to persevere & PUSH THROUGH with our original full menu, 20 beers on draft, nice selection of delicious vino which will be available ALL DAY with 6 or 7 days in mind. We are shooting for the 14th of January!
Through indoor & outdoor dining as well as take out, we can’t wait to serve you & earn your trust as one of your NEW favorite family-owned & operated mainstays! Cheers to 2021, let’s make it great!!
