Designed with an artistic aesthetic, Winter Lights features beautifully lit displays and glowing landscapes nestled along the Arboretum’s woodland edge and garden areas. As part of the show’s redesign, visitors will enjoy several new nature-themed displays, including winter wildlife, colorful butterflies, a special insect lantern exhibit and a giant daisy “garden.” Celebrate the holiday season with the entire family at Winter Lights.
Buy a brick or granite paver to honor a friend or family member, and make their name a part of the Swannanoa Valley’s geography and history! The pavers will form a mosaic which will show the north and south ridgelines of the Swannanoa Valley and the locations within the Valley which trace the settlement and the evolution of the Valley to the vibrant community it is today.
Tiles to honor heritage, families, memories and more
Become a part of the Museum by adding a tile to our Wall of History.
This special exhibit is comprised of 4 x 4 inch tiles with photographs of families, homes, fond memories, and other heritage images printed on them.
Cost for the tiles is $100 for the first one, $75 for others placed in the same order. If you make separate orders the price returns to $100 for the first on & $75 for each additional tile in the order.
Or you can send a scan of your image to [email protected]. Scans must be at least 300 dpi.
This will be an on-going project, until the Wall reaches capacity.

Acceptable photo formats: Photos may be mailed, emailed or brought to us on CD-Rom, thumb drive, or hard copy photo paper. Please note that a digital image will have a nicer, more detailed look than a scanned photograph. We accept .jpeg and .tif file formats at 300 dpi or higher.
Please be certain that when mailing, emailing or dropping off a CD-Rom or photograph that your name, as well as your family name, are clearly written and identified. Please include a phone number so that we can contact you with any questions. Orders will not be processed until full payment is received.
