Registration is now open for the next session of indoor youth tennis classes starting November 4th at Hendersonville Racquet Club. Kids are put in groups based on age and ability with seven levels available. The session is six weeks long and is $79 for members or $99 for non-members for one class a week.
“Our youth tennis program has something for any child who wants to play. From beginner to high performance player, we put them into situations where they will be challenged and can succeed while having a fun time doing it.” stated HRC Owner Chris Bull.
The format for this session is having classes once a week for six weeks. There will be no classes the week of Thanksgiving. Then the session concludes with a fun play day where they can get match experience. All classes are taught by certified tennis professionals and will be held on HRC’s indoor courts
From traditional paintings, jewelry, wood, pottery, and glass, to unique photography, furniture, clothing, and mixed media art; the idea behind Artisanville is to have something for everyone to appreciate and to take home.
Artisanville invites its guests to investigate and explore our unique items during a two-day long fine art and craft show. With over 175 regional and national artists—each handpicked and personally invited to the event— this show promises to surprise and entrance you. Visitors can interact with artisans, see live art demos, purchase beautiful artwork, or simply enjoy the craftsmanship behind each piece. When in need of a break, art lovers can also relax, get a drink or snack, listen to live music and log into the Internet at the new Art Patron Lounge area. There are even free drawings for “Artisanville bucks” to spend at the show. Be sure not to miss ARTISANVILLE…the newest Fine Art/Fine Craft Show coming to Greenville, SC!
This event creates a space for all of WNC and surrounding communities to join together in honor of fermentation, food preservation, farming and food resiliency in Madison County, NC. All profits & proceeds from the festival will be donated to the Beacon of Hope Food Bank of Marshall, NC. There will be FREE demos on food preservation & fermentation, music, family friendly activities and of course local and regional fermenters, foodies and crafting vendors ranging from local farms to local potters, fermenters, crafters and much more!

As the introductory course in Climbmax’s curriculum, Climbing Basics is designed for new indoor rope climbers. The course covers climbing terminology, equipment, and basic movement techniques. our AMGA Certified Climbing Wall Instructor will introduce and demonstrate belay techniques and work with you towards achieving proficiency at providing a top-rope belay. This course typically lasts 3 hours and is limited to 6 participants; we’ll provide any equipment you need.

Disclaimer Stand-up Lounge is the longest running comedy open mic in Asheville happening every Wednesday night. The show starts at 9:00, and there is no cover. Anyone wanting to perform needs to sign up by 9pm, and will get five minutes on stage. Local and not-so-local, professional and not-so-professional comics perform or just anyone wanting to get up in front of people and try to make them laugh. Always fun. Always free.

The hilarious Big and Tall Comedy Tour raises money for veterans all across America! A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to American Legion Post 28 and Spartanburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9539!
The show is a hilarious stand-up comedy event featuring comedy veterans Ernesto “Big Ern” Galano and headliner Mike Bova! Big Ern brings 30 minutes of laugh out loud stand-up, and then Mike Bova takes the stage. Mike’s one hour set is a combination of 30 minutes of side splitting stand-up, then he picks up his guitar for the last 30 minutes and sings hysterical parodies, funny songs and adds celebrity impressions. This is a one-of-a-kind show you don’t want to miss and won’t soon forget! Content is R-rated and recommended for adults 18+

Asheville’s favorite improv comedy troupe comes to the ACT Mainstage for one night only! Reasonably Priced Babies (RPB) consists of the very talented performers Tom Chalmers, Mondy Carter, Karen Stobbe, Kim Richardson and Josh Batenhorst, with Aaron Price providing musical accompaniment. The Asheville Marathon began 8 years ago with only a marathon option, which sold out quickly in its first year, and again the next year. A nationwide interest in half marathons was becoming popular, so for the 3rd year a half marathon option was added. In the 4th year, the event expanded to two days of races and a half marathon on each day. To add a twist in the 5th year the Backyard to Vineyard Challenge was created, where participants race in the Saturday half and Sunday full. The challenge was very popular and for the 6th anniversary, Backyard to Backyard Challenge was added, where participants run both the Saturday half and the Sunday half. Now in its 8th year both days of races, including the challenges, are expected to be sold out, with 3,100 participants.
The Asheville Marathon & Half at Biltmore Estate is held on and run entirely on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate, where runners will wind through paved and packed dirt roads to see hardwood forest, meadows, gardens, and extraordinary views of the Biltmore House and Estate. This is the original Asheville Marathon and first race of its kind to come to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina; don’t miss out on being part of history at Biltmore Estate.
