Soccer and other sports are integral in youth development, fostering physical, mental, and emotional growth. Additionally, outdoor recreational facilities are vital to our community’s wellbeing, especially since the pandemic led to higher levels of anxiety, depression, and stress as a result of decreased physical activity.

Mark Chalifoux is a nationally touring comedian who has told jokes on FOX and IFC and can he heard regularly on SiriusXM and the “Bob & Tom Show.” His comedy album has been streamed more than 1.5 million times on Pandora and his newest special is streaming now on Dry Bar Comedy. He’s written for ESPN, CBS and he’s one of the voices behind social media phenomenon “The Dad.”

She co-hosts a weekly comedy open mic called “The Hot Seat,” and writes a monthly humor column, “Best Medicine with Morgan Bost,” for the Mountain Xpress. She’s opened for Rob Delaney, Beth Stelling, and has appeared in several breweries and discount grocery stores across Western North Carolina.
