The Learning Garden is open for informal visits Monday through Friday throughout the year, but if you visit on a Wednesday, during the growing season, you can meet the Master Gardeners working in the gardens and ask questions about the plants and their care. A visit to The Learning Garden, on a workday affords you the opportunity to view each of nine garden areas, to ask questions and learn successful horticultural practices from the Master Gardeners who lovingly tend the gardens. The Learning Garden consists of these individual areas: Gateway Garden, Rose Garden, Cottage Garden, Four Seasons Garden, Dye Garden, Vegetable Garden, Pollinator Garden, Compost Area, and the Sun and Shade Garden. In addition, the complex has about two miles of walking trails. On the last Wednesday of the month from June to September (June 26, July 31, August 28, September 25) you can join a more formal tour and be lead through the gardens by a master gardener docent as you watch the other gardeners caring for the plants. See beautiful and interesting plants, delicious vegetables, native plants for beauty and pollinator interest. The tours start at 10:00 a.m. and should last approximately an hour. The tours will begin outside the front door of the Buncombe County In the event of steady rain in West Asheville, the workday and the tour will be canceled. The tour is free and registration is not necessary. We invite you to visit often, observe the gardens, and ask questions as the Master Gardeners tend the gardens through the growing season. Assembly Chapel, which will be Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM, and the
concert Sunday morning at 11:30 am also features the Harp Ensemble Experience
performance. Tickets will be available at the door and are $20.00 for each concert.

admission, first-class vendor hall will also be featured.

Now’s your chance to bring the whole family on the big purple bus! Educational and entertaining, LaZoom’s Kids’ Comedy tour features a perfect blend of Asheville information and kid-centric comedy. Geared specifically towards the 5-12 year old crowd, you’ll learn about our city’s history and see the sights in true LaZoom style – complete with our famously outlandish tour guides, hilarious comedy skits, and all sorts of special appearances! Perfect for birthday parties or school field trips, it’s the best thing to do with your kids in Asheville. It’s a show on wheels!
The tour is 60 minutes long and includes no stops. The tour is hosted by a zany tour guide, and along the way other characters will hop on the bus and perform kid-centric sketches (Candy Pirate, Ninja, and a Levitator) The tour is not only fun – it’s educational! Kids and adults will learn new and interesting facts about Asheville along the way. There must be 1 adult for every 4 children. We do not allow any unaccompanied children. Children 3 and under do not need a ticket if they are sitting in an adults lap.

For FrondFest 2024 we will have a live DJ playing your favorite dance music, as well as face painting & temporary tattoos, a family fun polaroid photo booth, bouncy houses and obstacle courses, craft activities, family bingo tent, basketball knockout competitions and more – ALL INCLUDED in your wristband cost.
FernLeaf’s Food Truck as well as Milk & Honey and Paperhouse Pizza Food Trucks will be open with a menu sourced from local farms and vendors. A selection of local craft beer and cider (thanks to our amazing donors!) as well as plenty of non-alcoholic options will also be available for purchase. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO FERNLEAF’S GENERAL FUND! 🌿FernLeaf is a K-12th grade public charter school located in Fletcher, NC. FernLeaf’s Four Fundamentals of learning include: high quality academic instruction, rich learning environments, social and emotional learning and an incredible community & culture.

Art on Main is a juried and judged fine art and fine craft show which brings high quality local and regional artist vendors to Hendersonville, NC, with works in clay, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, wood, painting, photography, and more.
Enjoy meeting the artists, and shopping for fine art and exquisite craft in Hendersonville, NC, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Watch live demonstrations of various artist’s creative processes while discovering Hendersonville’s charming and historic Main Street, with its own unique shops and restaurants.
