Bring self-care to the new year on this reflective meditation walk with Namaste in Nature. This peaceful hike is focused on reconnecting with yourself and the natural world even during one of the darkest times of the year.
In this 6 week series, we will use the building blocks of mindfulness meditation practice–breath, body, feelings, and thoughts as we cultivate our capacity to be present and work with what we are noticing in each moment. As we learn more about our own minds and hearts, there is an intimate and soulful connection to ourselves and each other. From this place of less stress, we can deepen our ability to create the lasting change we want in our lives. Each session will include time for guided mindfulness meditation, journaling, and group dialogue. The aim is to create a supportive learning pod, so life’s challenges can be an opportunity to grow in mindfulness and heartfulness, even while living in a turbulent world. This series is created for both beginner and experienced meditators alike. Themes of exploration include: changing habit patterns, nervous system regulation, self care, and “how to’s” from Buddhist Psychology.
Emily West Horn is a Certified Mindfulness Teacher via the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She is also authorized to teach meditation, dharma, and long retreats by Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Insight Meditation Society, and InsightLA.
Emily has been called a “power player of the mindfulness movement” by Wired Magazine. Her work is featured in 10% Happier, Boston Children’s Hospital’s Comfort Ability Project, Buddhist Geeks, and apps such as Brightmind and Buddhify. She’s also been mentoring mindfulness teachers in a certification program led by Jack Kornfield, Ph.D and Tara Brach Ph.D for over 6 years.
For her, a mindful life is simply learning to dance with all of this human experience: from transcendence to dirty dishes, evolutionary edges to ancient roots, solitary practice to deepening relationships. She lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with her husband, Vincent, and son, Zander.
Ganymede is as beautiful as she is entertaining and as the host of Karaoke night, she WILL sing along with you so come prepared to have a great time and laugh a lot!

Roman Fraden: Romanis a Los Angeles-based comedian and a regular performer at classic Hollywood venues including The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv. He has trained with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre, performed in various ensemble casts in film and on stage, and has opened for Mark Normand, Margaret Cho, and Patton Oswald. His one man show ‘Back In The Closet’ made it’s world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. He currently is living in Asheville while still performing everywhere.
Host Cody Hughes: Cody is a comedian who cut his teeth in Chicago and Atlanta. He is now based out of West North Carolina and tours the Southeast. He has opened for Lewis Black, John Oliver and Maria Bamford among others and hosts the regular Slice of Life Comedy shows at The Orange Peel’s Pulp Lounge.

DSSOLVR is hosting its 3rd annual Emo Valentine’s Party,
On Friday, February 10th at 6:00pm. A free event that promises to bring back the energy and excitement of concerts like Warped Tour. The party will feature music from xZaneInsanex, food by Calico Pizza, an art pop-up by Heidi Failmezger of Remember Me Tattoo, and limited edition shirts and tour badges. This course will be taught by Anthony Mikolojeski/Psychic Medium. He is known as the Asheville Medium. He has studied at the prestigious Arthur Findlay College in Stansted, England for advanced mediumship training. Now through teaching, Anthony is now sharing his advanced knowledge. ABOUT THE COURSE
Students will have a complete understanding of the foundation of psychic development. Through guidance and meditations studdents will understand the importance of breathwork, grounding, applying the chakra system and how it relates to the body and how each chakra works in psychic development and the expanding your awareness. Then expanding that awareness to work psychically with each other.
Each student will have the knowledge of all the different psychic modalities and how to use them.
Students will be working with each other and the instructor, in several exercises throughout this two-day course.
An organic lunch will be served for both days.

Cary Goff is a writer and comedian out of Asheville, NC. He performs around the Southeast. He’s showcased in the Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival, been a finalist in the Port City Comedy Competition and a semi-finalist in the Carolina’s Funniest Stand-Up Comic Competition.
Katy Hudson is creating content clouds. Who’s to say whether that means a calm, collected cumulus, or a brainstorm of ideas that flood the banks of the Stream of Consciousness? They’ve been eager to perform since giving their TEDx talk called “Gay Clouds.” What they’ll do next will surprise everyone, including Katy!
Blaine Perry a former New York City comic, Blaine was the co-host of the comedy duo called “Don’t Touch Me There.” He moved to the North Carolina a few years ago and performs regularly throughout the South.

She also hosts. writes and produces her own political comedy show, From the Ashes with Marlene Thompson of YouTube. Marlene has performed at countless comedy festivals all over the country and has opened for comics Joe Zimmerman, Kate Willett, Brandie Posey and Kevin McDonald from Kids in the Hall.

Join us for a 6 week series to explore the gentle practice of meditation. We’ll sample from a variety of traditions/tools; practices that have been known to inspire peace and insight. Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended and a floor mat if you have one, chairs will be out as well for your comfort. Can’t wait to see you there! Jesse Daniel Edwards is an alternative rock songwriter from the small mountain town of Cuyamaca, CA where he grew up without TV, internet, or significant exposure to the outside world. Leaving home at 16, he spent his late teens busking on street corners around the US and abroad with his brother. While singing outside of bars on Music Row in Nashville, TN Jesse struck up a friendship with Al Bunetta (John Prine). Bunetta served as a mentor to the young artist, encouraging Jesse to write and tour full-time in the years to follow. His songs have been featured in radio, TV, streaming movies, video games, and film- with his latest album (produced by Joe Chiccarelli- The Shins, The Strokes) releasing in June of 2023.

Join us for a 6 week series to explore the gentle practice of meditation. We’ll sample from a variety of traditions/tools; practices that have been known to inspire peace and insight. Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended and a floor mat if you have one, chairs will be out as well for your comfort. Can’t wait to see you there!
