Join us for the 8th Annual IC Imagine Fine Arts 5k and Fun Run on Saturday, September 9th!
We invite you to attend as a participant, sponsor, volunteer or spectator, and encourage you to share this event with family, friends and business associates. The more the merrier! All proceeds from this annual event benefit our Fine Arts Department.
This race specifically benefits the Fine Arts department at IC Imagine.
When IC Imagine first opened in 2014 our Fine Arts staff consisted of three people and our students were able to put on three public performances throughout the school year – 2 band concerts and 1 chorus concert, all of which only involved students in 5th-10th grades. This year, we have ten Fine Arts staff members and our students are scheduled to particiate in over 50 performances throughout the year. Our Fine Arts programs are growing and thriving and we could not be more proud of our students and teachers that are providing these amazing experiences to our community. We have the opportunity to expand our programs even more with our new building and space, but we need your help. Your support goes directly to providing throwing wheels for our visual arts students to study ceramics, purchasing band instruments, allowing our choral students to sing new music at each performance, and outfitting our new performing arts center with sound and lighting equipment.
Asheville Outlets will team with Yoga Nut to host a Wellness Expo on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. with booth proceeds benefitting Babies Need Bottoms. The complimentary Expo will provide attendees with a wide array of fitness, health, and wellness tools, including a complimentary yoga session and a movement workshop focusing on spine and hip mobility for pain prevention. Additional activities will include an antigravity chair, mini acupuncture sessions, health & wellness coaching sessions, brain assessments, information on Medicaid and Medicare, blood pressure screenings, and more. For more information on the Wellness Expo, visit ShopAshevilleOutlets.com.
Attune your body to new frequencies as a euphony of sounds and music slow your brainwaves to a restorative state, leaving you feeling restored and centered. This one hour sound healing class is $35 and hosted by Skinny Beat’s Billy Zanski.

The MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS Walk/Run for Awareness is a family-friendly walk/run hosted by All Souls Counseling Center (ASCC). The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the mental health resources available in our community and help to end the stigma around seeking help. It is the premier gathering of mental health providers, partners, and supporters in Western North Carolina that unite in the common goal of making mental health care accessible for all. Mental Health Matters is a public forum for normalizing conversations around mental health struggles so that all of us who need help can more easily access a qualified professional for support. Several mental health organizations, social service organizations, and community partners will have outreach tables at our Walk/Run. In addition to being active, come out to learn about some of the mental health and supportive resources available in WNC.
All Souls Counseling Center is a non-profit organization located near Downtown Asheville providing compassionate mental health counseling, outreach, and education to those with barriers to access, with a focus on individuals who don’t have health insurance or can’t afford therapy with their current insurance. Our 16 licensed therapists offer both in-person and virtual individual, couples, and family counseling services on a sliding scale basis. We also offer affordable group counseling services on an as-need basis and have expanded our services to place our therapists within several partner community organizations to meet clients where they’re at and make affordable counseling as accessible as possible.
