Presented as an online streaming eventFor the first time in its 9 year history, Costume Drama: A Fashion Show will be performed in YOUR living room!
Fifteen local designers have been working hard to create jaw-dropping garments from unconventional materials. So far, we’ve seen a few detail photos – keyboards and watches, tarps and cellophane, cardboard and office supplies – and we can’t wait to see the completed pieces! That will happen later this month, when we’ll be working with BClip Productions to film Costume Drama. We’ve scheduled one designer/model pair at a time and will film over several days so that we can meet safety guidelines.
Go ahead and circle AUGUST 8 on your calendar! Tickets will go on sale for Costume Drama next week (don’t worry, we’ll send a reminder!)

1970 was a pivotal year for the Grateful Dead. Having achieved psychedelic royalty status as lead jamsters of the San Francisco scene, they decided to shift gears, strip down musically and focus on songwriting. This resulted in two of their most acclaimed albums – Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty.
Released just 3 months apart, these two classic albums introduced the world to their best known tunes – “Uncle John’s Band”, “Sugar Magnolia”, “Casey Jones”, “Friend of The Devil”, “Ripple”, “”Truckin’ – the list goes on. The success that ensued would transform the Grateful Dead into worldwide superstars, inspire the most loyal fanbase in the history of rock ’n’ roll, and ultimately give birth to the entire “jamband” genre.
Cosmic Charlie is celebrating this special 50th anniversary by performing both albums in their entirety. The show will include acoustic and electric renditions of songs, plus some additional Dead jams to close out the night.
“Let there be songs to fill the air!”

New Potato Caboose are jam band legends that serve up epic musical groovy goodness, featuring amazing harmonies, killer double drum grooves, and next level jams. They play everything from Dead, Stones, CSNY, Feat, Dylan, Marley, a host of great originals and so much more. They are masters of improvisational segues that bridge the songs and integrate the various styles and influences that have shaped the band’s sound. New Potato Caboose helped usher in the jam-band era, leading the way for and performing with such artists as Dave Matthews, Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Widespread Panic, etc. During its heyday, the band averaged well over 200 shows per year at sold out showcase venues and colleges across the U.S. New Potato Caboose still reunites and it’s always something truly special and one helluva party. Get loose with the Caboose!

Through SaveOurStages.com, more than 1 million emails have been sent letting all 538 members of Congress know that constituents want to keep independent venues, promoters, and festivals alive.
