Yoga and Massage (YAM) has announced it is adding a new location
that will offer non-heated yoga and wellness classes, as well as their massage services, in one
building. ‘The cooler side of YAM’ will be located at 1620 Brevard Road in Laurel Park. The
studio is expected to open December 1 with an open house planned for Saturday, December
12 from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
The new space will have four massage treatment rooms and a 900 SF yoga studio for nonheated classes, workshops and yoga teacher training programs. Plenty of free parking will be
provided. YAM’s original yoga studio location is located on King Street in downtown
Hendersonville and will continue to offer heated yoga classes and workshops.

Eight week course to learn Tai Chi Easy! Meeting outdoors, Sundays 2:00PM at Highland Park (corner of Zillicoa and Montford Ave.) Jan. 3 – Feb. 21. Start with gentle Qigong warm ups to boost immune function. Learn essential Tai Chi principles in five Yang-style movements that enhance balance and flexibility. Explore the martial applications, or just learn to de-stress and enjoy freedom of movement. Bring water, dress warmly, wear sunblock, and be ready to shed layers. Highland Park offers no shade. ASAP’s annual Business of Farming Conference, held virtually in 2021, brings together professional and aspiring farmers from across the Southeast to network and share resources to build viable farm businesses. Farmers will learn about marketing, business planning, branding, and management from regional experts and innovative peers. Within the virtual format, attendees will have the opportunity to meet, connect, and form supportive relationships. The popular Grower-Buyer Meeting, a chance for farmers to meet directly with grocers, distributors, and chefs to discuss sourcing, will return in virtual form as well. The conference is designed for beginning and established farmers as well as those seriously considering farming as a profession. Appropriate for those who are incorporating agriculture, renewable energy, green building, land planning, hand-made products, and land-based living of all kinds. Includes a panel of local homesteaders and a regional expert on soil, climate, rainfall, typography, vegetation, wind, and how that affects and determines life, farming, and building in our region.
Taught by Lee Warren & Brandon Greenstein.
Lee Warren is the co-founder, designer, and builder, of an off-grid, sustainably-built CoHousing Neighborhood at Earthaven Ecovillage; founder and manager of Imani Farm, 5-acre pasture-based cooperative farm; and managing partner of SOIL, School of Integrated Living, which teaches organic food production, regenerative systems, and community living. Lee is also an herbalist, writer, teacher, and food activist, with an avid interest in rural wisdom, sustainable economics, and empowered self-reliance.
Brandon is the Home-Grower Program Director for OGS, developing new initiatives to provide services to home-growers. His background is in Renewable Systems, Earth Works, Energy, Water, Homesteading, Permaculture. He offers consulting, design, and technical services for the creation of low impact and energy conserving systems through his company, Integrated Ecological Solutions.
