Frankie Valli, the original Jersey Boy, is a true American legend. His incredible career with the Four Seasons, as well as his solo success, has spawned countless hit singles and unforgettable tunes like “Sherry,” “Walk Like A Man,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” and of course, “Grease.” Together, they’ve sold over 100 million records worldwide and toured throughout the U.S. to packed houses receiving nightly standing ovations from thrilled fans of multiple generations.
Valli’s long-lasting career has led to the overwhelming success of the Broadway musical Jersey Boys, which chronicles Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons’ incredible career to the soundtrack of their greatest hits. The play has been seen by over 18 million people worldwide, won four Tony Awards including Best Musical (2008), and is the 15th longest-running show in Broadway history! In 2014, Academy Award-winning Clint Eastwood directed the film adaptation of Jersey Boys.

For the past couple of years, Kip Moore has spent most of his time on the road, building one of country music’s most loyal audiences show by show and plotting what would become his sophomore album, Wild Ones. He was a road warrior, living out of a tour bus with his bandmates and playing more than 200 shows per year. For a songwriter who’d grown up in a quiet pocket of southern Georgia, performing to crowds across the world — crowds that knew every word to his best-selling debut album, Up All Night — felt like a dream come true.
Somewhere along the way, though, the highway became a lonely place. The routine was always the same: pull into town, play a show, pack up and leave. There was no stability, no comfort. Things weren’t much easier at home in Nashville, where Moore —whose first album had sent three songs to the top of the country charts, including “Beer Money” and “Hey Pretty Girl” —found himself receiving plenty of unsolicited advice from people who wanted to keep the hits coming…at any cost.

Reggie Headen’s introduction to Abbey Lincoln was a clip of her performing in Max Roach’s ‘Freedom We Insist’. It was then that he was captivated by her command and scope of raw emotion. As he explored Lincoln’s work further he discovered something about her that distinguished her from other singers of her generation that he also admires; her prowess as a composer! As he began to share what he had discovered with friends and fellow musicians he quickly realized Abbey Lincoln’s own compositions were still pretty obscure, though to a certain degree renowned in the jazz world. Sharing the magic of her words and music has been the catalyst of this show’s inception.
Reggie Headen – Vocals
Jason DeCristofaro – Piano
Ashley Pritchard – Tenor Sax
Connor Law – Upright Bass
Alan Hall – Drums
