Join us for an unforgettable Halloween weekend show with Alex Krug Combo and WellSpring! Starting at 6:30, these lovely talents will envelop you in sweet duets and Appalachian dream rock next to the painted mountains and crackling campfires. Come hungry for oxtail and jerk chicken with Queen’s Island Cuisine! And, of course, craft cocktails and mocktails by the bar team at Oak and Grist.

Boomer’s Bourbon & Cigars and Ben’s Tune Up share a parking lot, so we thought we’d start with some drinks outside on Boomer’s patio then move over to Ben’s at around 9:30-10, where there’s a DJ for a some dancing.
You’re welcome to swing by whenever, go to one or both.
What we’re about
This is a group for singles and couples in their 30s and 40s who want to make friends and connections. We will have regular Meetups at local spots, but hope to do some focused events for those with specific interests, like whiskey nights, couples get togethers, singles events, game night, bonfires, and more!
To make sure that all our members feel safe and comfortable we require that all members have a profile photo clearly showing their face.

Full Moon Farm is an organization dedicated to the well being of the wolfdog (wolf hybrid). Situated on 17 beautiful mountain acres in Black Mountain, NC, we operate as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization for abused and refused wolfdogs who find themselves in need of love, shelter, and care through no fault of their own.
Full Moon Farm provides a safe haven for animals that cannot be placed into homes for the rest of their lives. Our rescued wolfdogs come from animal control agencies, closed breeding situations and occasionally, an owner in crisis. We evaluate each animal upon intake and work with them at their level of comfort.
Some animals are “hands off” and we respect their choice, as well as that of the animals that crave human interaction. Our goal is to enrich the lives of the residents, allowing them to reach their highest potential. Your support by donation or sponsorship makes our task possible.
Though they may be abused or neglected, homeless because of death or divorce, they are all God’s Creatures and worthy of a lifetime of respect. We are here to serve them.

Reggie Headen’s introduction to Abbey Lincoln was a clip of her performing in Max Roach’s ‘Freedom We Insist’. It was then that he was captivated by her command and scope of raw emotion. As he explored Lincoln’s work further he discovered something about her that distinguished her from other singers of her generation that he also admires; her prowess as a composer! As he began to share what he had discovered with friends and fellow musicians he quickly realized Abbey Lincoln’s own compositions were still pretty obscure, though to a certain degree renowned in the jazz world. Sharing the magic of her words and music has been the catalyst of this show’s inception.
Reggie Headen – Vocals
Jason DeCristofaro – Piano
Ashley Pritchard – Tenor Sax
Connor Law – Upright Bass

The concerts take place at White Horse Black Mountain (details and contact info below) the second Monday of every month at 7:30 pm ET. Every month Sue and Robin collaborate with a different guest artist, ensuring that no two Carolina Celtic concerts are the same. The inaugural season’s lineup of world-class musical guests is nothing short of extraordinary.
