Twelfth Night is a romantic comedy about mistaken identities and love triangles. The story revolves around shipwrecked twins Viola and Sebastian. Separated in the shipwreck, stranded on the shore of Illyria, and unsure who to trust, Viola disguises herself as a young man named Cesario and secures work for a local duke named Orsino. The Duke is hopeless in love with Lady Olivia. Olivia, in mourning and unimpressed by Orsino, falls for Cesario instead. Complications arise when Sebastian arrives, further leading to confusion and comedic chaos.

Because accessibility is at the heart of the mission of the Community Tour, all tickets for performances of Twelfth Night at NC Stage are offered on a sliding scale pricing structure. With a nominal ticket minimum of $6 –and the choice to pay a higher ticket price if that fits your budget– we aim to lower financial barriers which might otherwise prevent patrons from attending. All touring performances of Twelfth Night are offered to community partners at no charge. Those who can afford a higher-priced ticket during the show’s run at NC Stage help to support production, allowing us the ability to offer these free community performances.

In love with Roxane, he helps the handsome but inarticulate Christian win her affection, all while hiding his own feelings and sacrificing his love for her. Shows are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7:30 each night. And always FREE! No Sunday performances for the last weekend of each show.

How it Works:
Comics on the show will do approximately 3-1/2m of comedy. This show’s 3 top comics will be brought back with other show winners to compete in our pageant finale, date TBD. Audience votes through paper ballots to be picked up and counted at end of show, winner will be announced.

These spots go fast! There is no cost to performing comics. Comics should have 3-5m of material and be prepared for additional material in the event of a tie-breaker performance. Winners will be compensated for the night and move on to the finale.

Tired Souls opens in Montgomery, Alabama on December 1, 1955 – the day Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white man. Her determination was the catalyst that inspired Montgomery’s black citizens to abandon all travel on city buses until they were no longer forced to sit in the back or stand when a white person boarded. But there were others who came before Mrs. Parks and laid the groundwork for this pivotal moment. Tired Souls introduces audiences to Jo Ann Robinson, Claudette Colvin, and others so instrumental in lighting a fire under the Civil Rights movement and changing the course of U.S. history forever.

Passengers aboard the opulent Orient Express awake to frightful news: Overnight, the American business mogul among them was stabbed to death behind locked doors. Thankfully, debonair detective Hercule Poirot is on the train and on the case and suddenly every passenger becomes a suspect.
