LCCA will serve as a soul-focused sanctuary and learning center for individual and collective growth. Monthly Visitor is a new class series by Period Nirvana. Every month, we will host a speaker to teach a class or lead a workshop in their area of expertise. We’ll be kicking off the series with a basic course on pelvic floor anatomy, common issues such as stress/urge incontinence, and pelvic pain. The class will be about an hour long with the opportunity to shop for menstrual care and wellness products afterwards. “My journey as a physical therapist has developed greatly through the years. After graduating from Wheeling University in 2016, I spent time working in Virginia and West Virginia before falling in love with Asheville, North Carolina. I completed an orthopedic residency program in orthopedics in 2020 and became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Since that time, I have also found my passion for treating individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction. It quickly became clear to me that symptoms of urinary and fecal incontinence, frequency/urgency, pelvic pain, pain with sexual activity are under-reported and under-treated. I love empowering individuals to reclaim their confidence and help lift the feelings of isolation associated with it! I have completed extensive training to treat the pelvic health population through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, earning the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification, and Institute of Clinical Excellence.

We will begin with a brief overview of the current astrology aspects in our sky. Then enjoy a powerful yet relaxing 45 min. gong meditation followed by an integration.
When the gong sings, you listen. You listen listens with every cell of your body. You hear it and feel it. You begin to sense more. The obscure sounds leave your brain guessing and eventually surrenders to the soundwave as you begin to relax, feel and heal. The vibrational frequencies can awaken stagnant energy. Join your host Kristin Hillegas, for a one-hour Serenity Sound Bath and experience a deeply immersive, full-body sound and vibrational experience. A sound bath can cleanse your soul, restore your balance, surround you with peace and tranquility and stimulate healing.
Note: Please bring a yoga mat/pillow/blanket since you will be lying on the floor. Wear warm, comfortable, and flexible clothing.

The WNC Nature Center continues roaring back to life with one of Asheville’s favorite summer traditions — Brews and Bears!
Starting Friday, May 9, from 5:30–8:00 p.m., this after-hours event invites guests to enjoy the Nature Center in the cool evening hours with live music, local food, and plenty of local brews and beverages.
The Brews and Bears Summer Series will take place on the second Friday of each month through August, and each event features a unique lineup of food trucks, musicians, and animal education programs—so no two nights are the same!
During our time we will explore vocal exercises and sounds to activate your light language. The vocal exercises are great for clearing and moving energy throughout your body, while easing your nervous system. This creates space to allow more energetic flow through your whole being.
Following this interactive session, you then will lay down and receive sound and energy healing to integrate your process. We all have the ability to access light language and if you have been called or intrigued, please reach out!

Above and Beyond is PARI’s signature camping experience designed to immerse high school students in the world of space science and research while building confidence and critical thinking skills.
Originally developed in partnership with Duke University and refined for nearly two decades, this space camp explores the universe through astronomy, physics, and astrobiology, while also providing time for adventure and fun.
The process followed by scientists and researchers who’ve made space science their career is modeled to show how new discoveries are made about the universe. Campers are provided the tools and guided through the process by professionals who have made space their life’s work.
This year’s camp will focus on the unique challenges of human space exploration, near and far. From the impact of stars on the planets in their systems, to the composition of atmospheres and regolith, we’ll present the tools to answer a myriad of questions that could one day help humanity spread beyond Earth.
How do we find water or breathable atmosphere, or can they be made? How do we measure radiation from a star or classify exoplanets? Can a cave or lava tube on Mars provide adequate shelter for humans? What resources can be harvested from asteroids? Maybe you’ll help answer a question like these.

Come join us on a journey of somatic bliss with our Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath with Vivek Chugh, an immersive experience designed to transport you to a realm of deep relaxation and rejuvenation.
Vivek will be facilitating this sound journey using handcrafted singing bowls, each emitting unique vibrations, frequencies and tones which can bring balance and health to the body. The premise is that sound can influence physical, emotional, mental and spiritual state of being.
Allow yourself to be transported to a state of profound calmness as the harmonic frequencies of the singing bowls washes over you. No prior experience is necessary.
Whether you’re a seasoned mindfulness enthusiast or someone seeking a novel path to relaxation or seeking stress relief, our Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Bath is a therapeutic journey where ancient wisdom meets modern well-being.

Shift into your parasympathetic nervous system with a healing Sound Bath! This shift helps the body lower your heart rate, relax muscles, and initiate healing processes.
Join your host Kristin Hillegas, for a one-hour Serenity Sound Bath and experience a deeply immersive, full-body sound and vibrational experience. A sound bath can cleanse your soul, restore your balance, surround you with peace and tranquility and stimulate healing.
Note: Please bring a yoga mat/pillow/blanket since you will be lying on the floor. Wear warm, comfortable, and flexible clothing.
The Sound Bath will take place upstairs in the Education Building. Choose your space starting at 12:45 PM, doors close promptly at 1:00 PM.
This service is being offered on a sliding scale of $10-20.
Accessible parking is available in the Center for Spiritual Living Asheville upper parking lot. The entrance to the upper parking lot is off of S. Bear Creek Rd between Science of Mind Way and Sand Hill Rd.
There is a boardwalk walk-way from the upper parking lot to the building entrance.
