SoulCollage® is a playful and transformative method that helps us acknowledge all aspects of self. The process helps us discover our unique inner/outer guides and challengers in life. Together we will explore and express ourselves by making our own personalized deck, sharing cards, journaling, and consulting our cards about our own life questions. We will use simple tools—images, 5×8 cards, scissors, and glue, so no artistic experience needed!
Open Studio is a time when supplies and space will be available to create cards for your deck. You can drop in for a little while or stay the entire time. New and experienced practitioners welcome! While this is mainly time for independent creation, Michelle will be there to chat, answer questions, provide tips, and guide you through the process. If you’ve been curious about SoulCollage® this is a great way to get started.
Bring your water bottle and something to journal with. All other supplies will be provided.

Join us for an immersive sound journey into the mystery of vibration and resonance. More than just sound waves traveling through air, sound is the invisible thread weaving together all of existence – connecting stars to our beating hearts, and speaking directly to the soul.

You will be gently guided through layers of harmonic tones and resonant frequencies designed to calm the mind, open the heart, and awaken profound inner balance. Each sound becomes a gateway, carrying messages beyond words and inviting you to journey inward, beyond thought and time.
This is the first, inaugural Sonic Sphere. They each will have a theme, a specific instrumentation and/or carry their own unique quality. Each one offers a sacred space where every vibration holds a secret, every silence hums with possibility, and every tone helps you reconnect to the universal rhythm that connects us all.

SoulCollage® Card Reading Group

Energetic Exchange: $20-$30
As we lovingly create our SoulCollage® cards they are imbued with bits and pieces of ourselves. This means our decks can act as a key that accesses our infinite inner wisdom.
The voice of our cards are meant to be heard, consulted, and played with. Bring your journal and cards to this interactive workshop and explore a variety of methods for doing your own SoulCollage® readings. Ideally you will have at least three cards that you’ve created.
If you have not yet started crafting your own deck, bring your favorite oracle deck or borrow one from the library in the event space. New and experienced practitioners are welcome.

Leave the week’s stress behind as you relax and reset your nervous system with this special clearing crystal gong bath.
We will begin with a brief overview of the current astrology aspects in our sky. Then enjoy a powerful yet relaxing 45 min. gong meditation followed by an integration.
When the gong sings, you listen. You listen listens with every cell of your body. You hear it and feel it. You begin to sense more. The obscure sounds leave your brain guessing and eventually surrenders to the soundwave as you begin to relax, feel and heal. The vibrational frequencies can awaken stagnant energy. Kanuga is thrilled to announce the return of its Summer Day Camps for rising first through sixth graders, with five weeklong sessions planned for June and July 2025, at its Bob Campbell Youth Campus. Registration is now open.
In the serene mountains of Western North Carolina, campers will find fun and adventure in action-packed sessions staffed by well-trained, compassionate adults who specialize in keeping young children safe, entertained and engaged. Kanuga’s wooded campus offers children the opportunity to play, explore, swim in mountain lakes, hike to scenic vistas, paddle canoes, create arts and crafts and so much more.

“Laron Huntley & The Gravely Brothers,” is a multi-generational band rooted in Asheville, NC with a sound steeped in classic country and southern rock. With deep local ties and a shared musical heritage, this group brings the authentic spirit of the mountains to every performance. Their show promises passion, talent, and timeless Americana vibes from heartfelt originals to crowd-pleasing covers and jam-worthy riffs.
During our time we will explore vocal exercises and sounds to activate your light language. The vocal exercises are great for clearing and moving energy throughout your body, while easing your nervous system. This creates space to allow more energetic flow through your whole being.
Following this interactive session, you then will lay down and receive sound and energy healing to integrate your process. We all have the ability to access light language and if you have been called or intrigued, please reach out!

Roman is a Los Angeles-based comedian and a regular performer at classic Hollywood venues including The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv. He has trained with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre, performed in various ensemble casts in film and on stage, and has opened for Mark Normand, Margaret Cho, and Patton Oswald. His one man show ‘Back In The Closet’ made it’s world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. He currently is living in Asheville while still performing everywhere.

“Soul Blue” is a charismatic and entertaining classic Soul/Blues/R&B band whose five members hail from both Asheville, NC and Atlanta, GA. These seasoned musicians come together from a variety of popular bands such as: Daddy’s Money, The XL’s, Banks and Shane, and a good many more; enabling them to create an authentic approach to the music of many best-loved Soul, Blues, and R&B artists.
Grandfather Mountain’s Junior Ranger Program is now the Junior Naturalist Program — a new program for our new Conservation Campus! Activities throughout the day will be provided specifically for children ages 5-12 to explore their environment and experience all that Grandfather has to offer.
Join us at the Mountain Horticultural Crops Research and Extension Center (MHCREC) for our annual Field Day. Since 1949, our station has been a hub of agricultural innovation, with the added addition of Field Day being a long-standing tradition. This year’s event promises an engaging, informative, and hands-on look at the latest in horticultural research and extension activities.
Field Day 2025 will feature a comprehensive showcase of ongoing research programs across a variety of crops such as apples, tomatoes, nursery plants, and other specialty crops. In addition to the featured research, the event will highlight various other projects and initiatives that reflect the breadth of work being done here at MHCREC.
Come for the whole day or drop in for part of it — your choice! Admission is free.

The first annual Bodhi Fest, a Buddhist Arts and Film Festival at Asheville Community Theatre on August 16th, 2025 will be a day of illumination as we explore the gladdening qualities of the human spirit ranging from sweet solitude to ecstatic joy. The program will consist of Buddhist films + Q&A, shorts, a dance workshop, a songwriting workshop, musical performances and more. Crafts, art and food from Buddhist sanghas, artists and local vendors will be shared in the front lobby during the festival.
