Asheville NC’s DIRTY DEAD are literally on fire. With high-energy, modern interpretations of the classic GD/JGB catalog, DIRTY DEAD are calling the music higher and further than in a long time! With an eclectic mix of players from various styles of music — as the Grateful Dead were –something new, fresh and exciting is happening. Psychedelia, reggae, funk and hip-hop in a Grateful Dead song? OK, got to see this!

THE SOUND grew out of guitarist / flautist PAUL DRUM DECIRCE’s feeling the urge for the Dead sound to evolve further — further than trying to imitate or even emulate the great bands accomplishments. GRATEFUL DEAD played at the foot of the pyramids and JERRY GARCIA rocked for thirty years … no need to try and copy that.

We raise all of our turkeys from baby chicks to adulthood directly on Hickory Nut Gap Farmland in Fairview, NC. They spend their entire lives rotationally grazing on pasture, free from antibiotics and added hormones. We offer a limited supply each year and a deposit must be paid in advance to secure your bird.

The interior features copper lined walls filled with the history of moonshining in North Carolina. Learn about the proud tradition that the Appalachians established when bootlegging was an acceptable way of life and local home brews were the best in town. Read about Swain County’s very own Major Redmond, the most famous mountain moonshine outlaw of the 19th century.

Once your appetite for knowledge is satisfied, enjoy sample tastings of flavors like Apple Pie, Blackberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Peach, and Strawberry moonshine. If the samples are not enough, there will be plenty of Moonshine infused cocktails like Copper Cola or Moonshiner’s Mimosa available for purchase.
