Welcome to HRC’s Spring Fling!  This is for children general aged 11-18 playing with yellow ball on a full court.  If you are 10 and under playing with either a orange or green ball, go here to our Junior Circuit event this same weekend.  We are happy you are here and look forward to having a fun day of tennis!

All matches will be on EITHER Saturday, April 1st or Sunday, April 2nd.  All divisions start and finish on the same day.  Matches will be on clay or indoor hard courts.  All matches will be in a round robin format.  We will try to make all singles matches best 2 out of 3 short sets with a 7 point tiebreak in lieu of third set if possible, but may have to change this to accommodate weather, court space, etc.  Divisions may be combined to create better playing experiences for all if needed, but players will be notified if they are moved.  All players will receive a players gift/package when they check in.  Light snacks and water will be provided.  Schedule will be posted by noon on Thursday.  Price is $30 for the first event (singles), $15 for second and third events ( doubles).  The price when registering will change to $15 for second and third events after selecting the first event.

We are offering multiple camps which will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at LEAF Global Arts at 19 Eagle Street in Downtown Asheville. Scholarships are available! Qualifications include: Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch Two of more siblings attending the same week of camp Students registering for 4+ LEAF Summer Camps in 2023 (must pay in full) To inquire about scholarships, email [email protected]. Snacks will be provided, and students should bring a peanut free bagged lunch and a water bottle to camp each day, and wear clothes and shoes they can move in. In addition to the main focus of the camp, each week will explore elements of theater art, music, and dance from around the world. Cost: $230 per week. Each camp will culminate in a Friday performance for friends and families, in addition to original recordings made in our ONEmic studio! LEAF’s ONEmic studio is funded by the Bed Gradison Memorial Fund and generous support of LEAF members

We are introducing a new software system for our Playhouse Jr. families! This new system will make your life easier! Once you have registered you are in our system for good. During this time, APR will waive membership and daily pass fees so more people can access the necessities for a regular fitness routine. Locals can sign up online or at either community center to receive a fitness center key fob that can be scanned at either location.

“Our team is committed to creating spaces in which everyone feels welcome,” according to D. Tyrell McGirt, APR Director. “We are in the community building business. The gyms and fitness rooms at these two locations are filled with everything you’d expect from other top-notch fitness facilities and dedicated to body positivity and accessible wellness.
