Join us in kicking off the Spring season with this special introductory price! Our workshops last between 1-2 hours and include all information and materials needed to create a fun, living terrarium. This class is perfect for beginners or experienced crafters! Instruction covers learning about air plants, care tips, design principles, and more. We include everything needed to create your terrarium, from the container and plants to fun additions like shells, driftwood, gemstones and crystals, figurines, and more. A gift box and care instructions are included to ensure your success. Participants are welcome to bring (waterproof) figurines or other design additions that they’d like to incorporate into their terrarium. Please register and purchase tickets at www.Vivid-Event.com . 100% OF MONEY RAISED STAYS IN HENDERSON COUNTY to support the Kiwanis Shoes & Socks Program that supplies new shoes and socks to underprivileged students at local schools in Henderson County!
Join us for this family-friendly race where teams complete a series of physical and mental tasks & challenges to see who comes out on top. There will be four heats, starting at 10 am, and teams will be have one hour to complete all of the tasks. Along the way, teams can scavenge for acorns to receive seconds off of their time, but don’t get caught by Sam, the Sneaky Squirrel! When the final team is finished, around 2 pm, there will be an awards ceremony in the pavilion above the baseball field.
This event is appropriate for adults, youth and children ages 5+.
All participants will receive a gift with their entry fee. The winners from each heat will receive medals and goodies from area businesses! Snacks and water will be available throughout the day for all participants.
Team Entry Fee: $35 (Up to 4 people. Children age 5 and older.)

Fern Way Farm School summer camps are open to and inclusive of EVERYONE! All the camps are set at a sliding-scale price system, and families may pick the respective price option that works for their budget and family. Fern Way believes everyone should have access to beautiful places to tend, play and explore.

• The Fern Way Farm School Family Camp June 13-17 offers outdoor fun for all ages. Hike our 6+ miles of trails and cool streams, do some gardening, play with our chickens, cook together with fresh produce and stay in our cozy cabins together.
• Marvel & Mystery summer camps this July are for kids in grades K-5. They will spend their days outside exploring trails, learning about forest plants and creatures, gardening and spending time with chickens.
• At Fern Way Farm School’s Curiosity & Connection Overnight Camp for middle schoolers from July 27-30, campers will get to choose from fun and educational sessions involving wildcraft skills, nature art, outdoor cooking + more!
• High schoolers may attend an overnight camp June 28-July 2, where they will spend time outdoors gardening, hiking and exploring, learning about interconnection in our beautiful, yet often uncertain and confusing, world.
• Girls will have SO MUCH FUN at a special Girls on the Run summer camp! Designed specifically for girls in grades 3-5, campers will be empowered to learn about positive self-esteem and community engagement through gardening, hiking and other outdoor activities. This camp integrates the powerful Girls on the Run curriculum and is supported by Girls on the Run of WNC
