The Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up Tour, the first-ever luxury retail event of its kind, is now open in the southeast parking lot of Tanger Asheville, the city’s premier shopping destination. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through August 10, this immersive shopping experience showcases a curated selection of 12 luxury brands and a unique dining experience alongside some of Asheville and Western North Carolina’s creative, independent vendors.
During the Pop-up, a percentage of all sales will be added to a Hurricane Recovery Fund, to be distributed to local organizations at the end of the tour. Explore Asheville’s Always Asheville Fund, which supports local businesses through grants, and Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity, which provides housing support for those in need following the storm, have been named as the official charities of the Bal Harbour Access Pop-up.
Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up in Asheville will feature a host of curated retailers, including Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Balmain, Assouline, Etro, Golden Goose, Eleventy, Johanna Ortiz, and more. Guests can enjoy the Pop-up’s on-site full bar and restaurant, The Whitman, an exquisite dining venue that seats 150 guests. With daily indoor and outdoor dining opportunities, The Whitman will offer shareable plates that mix Miami flavor with locally sourced products.

Designed from modular shipping containers transformed into a lush, tropical oasis, it embodies the signature aesthetic of Bal Harbour Shops. Guests will be transported into a Zen garden-like environment, complete with palm trees, fountains, and lush greenery, all set to a curated soundtrack that enhances the ambiance. Covered walkways with cooling fans and a retractable canopy will ensure an inviting and comfortable experience.

We are so excited to have local vegan vendors get together and show you what they’ve got. You can stop by and get some treats to go or, even better, hang out with us for a while. Carolina Memorial Sanctuary leads a conversation about death preparation, home funerals, and the cathartic act of participating in a loved one’s burial, Thurs. October 16 at Kanuga. Part of Kanuga’s Lunch & Learn series, the event begins with a forest bathing nature walk (weather permitting) at 10 a.m. followed by the Carolina Memorial Sanctuary presentation at 11 a.m. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Kanuga’s dining hall after the presentation. After being cancelled last year due to Helene, our annual fundraiser Walk For Your Neighbor is BACK! Please join us on Sunday, October 26 at First Baptist Church of Swannanoa for a walk and block party! There will be music, as well as food and drink! The walk will start at 2pm, with the block party continuing until 5pm.
To register for Walk for Your Neighbor, just scan the QR code on this flyer, or follow the link below. Registration is by donation only, but we are encouraging a $20 minimum donation for those who are able. You can also ask family and friends to sponsor your walk using the donation link you receive when you register. To be cost and environmentally conscious, we will be using last year’s t-shirts.
Our valley is still recovering and needs remain high. The more we raise through this walk, the more we can tangibly share the love of Christ with neighbors in need through food, clothing, baby supplies, healthcare, home repairs, and so much more! We hope you’ll give generously, lace up those sneakers, and come walk with us!
Enjoy an evening of community and music with An Evening for All Souls: A Gathering of Song and Spirit, Sunday, Oct. 26 at Kanuga. The evening begins at 4 p.m. at Kanuga Lake with a community choir workshop, followed by dinner and luminaria making on the Rocking Chair Porch Lawn at 5 p.m., and concludes with a concert by musical artist Roots Grown Deep at 6 p.m., with a luminaria release on the lake at dusk. Mark your calendars — December 5, 2025, through January 5, 2026 — the beloved Deck the Trees holiday tradition is back, bigger and brighter than ever!
Now celebrating 15 years, Deck the Trees will once again bring holiday wonder to Black Mountain and Swannanoa, all for a great cause. This cherished fundraiser benefits the Swannanoa Valley Christian Ministry (SVCM) Fuel Fund, which helps neighbors in need to keep their homes warm during winter.
This year’s theme, “Christmas in Music & Song,” will inspire more than 50 beautifully decorated trees across town. You’ll find many of them at Peri Social House, Tyson Furniture Company, and White Horse Black Mountain, plus dozens of other local businesses decked out for the season.
How It Works:
From December 5 to January 5, you can vote for your favorite tree(s) by donating $1 per vote. Vote as many times as you’d like. Every dollar goes directly to the SVCM Fuel Fund. Voting is easy:
-Scan the QR code at each tree to donate online
-Or drop cash or checks in the donation box next to the tree
(Online donations encouraged.)
Can’t Visit in Person?
A full list of locations — plus photos of every tree — will be posted soon on the SVCM Deck the Trees website so you can vote from anywhere.
