Jenner Fox Live Stream
Aug 26 @ 7:00 pm
Online

Jenner Fox is a multi-faceted, uber-talented individual. A talented singer-songwriter hailing from Oregon and an experienced river guide who roams the wilds of the Pacific Northwest and then switches hemispheres to run the rivers of Patagonia.

On the river and on the road, Jenner is a folk singer with music that ranges from a soft mandolin melody to full-blown guitar strumming that has strings on the edge of breaking. He draws his influence from river canyons, urban communities, John Prine, Josh Ritter, and the people, roads, and stories in between. His lyrics will make you laugh one moment and wipe away tears the next. His CD will live in your player long after you hear him, and will take you right back to the emotions that his talents, voice, and personality crafted.

“Jenner combines the lyricism of Joni Mitchell and the commentary of Neil Young to represent the next generation of singer songwriters.” – Grammy nominated producer, Cookie Marenco

Live Streaming event – Donations requested for the artist. This event will be streamed live from the Mountain Spirit Facebook Page

Black Label Society: Postponed
Aug 26 @ 7:30 pm
The Oranage Peel

This show was originally scheduled for March 17, 2020, and then August 26, 2020. This show is now postponed to a TBD date in 2021. Previously purchased tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date. Deadline to request a refund is August 15, 2020.

Tickets will remain on sale while we work on determining a rescheduled date. Fans should hold on to their tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled performance date. If you are unable to attend a postponed show, please contact us at [email protected] or via phone during box office hours (Wednesday through Friday 12pm to 5:30 at 828-398-1837).

In the event that we are unable to find a new date and a show is fully cancelled, all buyers will be notified and tickets will be automatically refunded at the point of purchase. Please allow at least a week for this to be reflected in your bank account.

Black Label Society bandleader Zakk Wylde wields his guitar like a Viking weapon, bashing out thick riffage and squeezing out expressive squeals as if the glory of his Berserker brotherhood depends upon every single note, which of course, it does.

John Moreland
Aug 26 @ 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm
The Grey Eagle

John Moreland

Over the last half a dozen years or so, John Moreland’s honesty has stunned us––and stung. As he put hurts we didn’t even realize we had or shared into his songs, we sang along. And we felt better. But there has always been far more to Moreland than sad songs. Today, his earthbound poetry remains potent, but in addition to his world-weary candor, Moreland’s music smolders with gentle wisdom, flashes of wit and joy, and compassion. And once again, as we listen, we feel better.

Census – Please respond

It’s not too late!  This once-a-decade population count of everyone who lives in the United States is mandated by the U.S. Constitution, and everyone is required to participate. Responses from the census help determine how federal funds are allocated for critical public services and programs in communities around the country for the next 10 years. If you haven’t responded yet, respond now—online, by phone, or by mail.  Respond Now

If you don’t care about all the other things the Census is used for, like determining how many representatives each state has in Congress, and so much more, you should care that the population count affects the share of available federal money that comes to the French Broad River MPO for local programming.  That money has paid for sidewalks on Hendersonville Rd and Patton Avenue, and will help pay for sidewalks on Johnston Blvd, Deaverview Rd, New Leicester Highway, plans for permanently redesigning Coxe Avenue, and more.  Respond Now – please.

COVID-19 Testing in Buncombe County
