To Celebrate Community Health Center Week and the Official Ribbon Cutting for our New Dale Fell Center, AMCHC is holding a Health Fair on 08/19 from 11AM to 3PM. Please join us for an afternoon of entertainment, education, and food to help introduce our new health center to the Asheville community.
From the regional crafters to local guide artisans, set up on the river banks of the Nantahala. Come and meet these vendors and more on the second Saturday of every month, May – September.

For the 18th year in a row, artists in this small community will open their studios to the public for the annual Come to Leicester Studio Tour. This free, self-guided event is held every third weekend in August, with this year’s tour dates being August 19th and 20th, 10 AM to 5PM each day.
Visitors choose their own tour stops using a printed brochure with a full-color map of the area, with bold signs directing to the individual studios. The tour route travels through some of the most scenic rural countryside in Western North Carolina. Along the way, visitors can view beautiful, hand-crafted work and meet the artists who create it. The variety of arts and crafts on the tour includes brooms, pottery, paintings, iron work, woodworking, jewelry, fiber, mosaic, enamel, and mixed media. Hi, I’m Adora, the creator of The Love Frequency. Like many, I’ve walked a path where I faced negative emotions, disappointment, and self-doubt. I understand how it feels to be stuck, overwhelmed, confused, and in lack.
I rarely felt free to be my true self. I could not hear my inner voice. I was unsure of my true purpose in life. But somewhere within me I knew that there was a different way. A sense that there was something more. Can you relate?

What is Modern Alchemy?
Traditional alchemy is considered to focus on transmuting base metals to gold. But true alchemy is actually the journey of the spiritual seeker.
When I first began exploring plant medicine, I was introduced to the concept of synergy, where the sum of the parts or ingredients are more effective than the singular aspect or isolate. This concept has evolved from my perspective and practice over the last 30 years as a healer, teacher and author in the field of complementary medicine.
Modern Alchemy is the hero’s and heroine’s journey to Know Thyself and in that journey to transform the places of limitation, pain and suffering from our soul to our cells into life affirming, creation expressions of thriving. That is our true birthright.
It is a synergy of 4 pillars that anchor the universal truth and the creative potential of the universe: esoteric philosophy, psycho-spiritual dynamics, essential oils and vibrational medicine. Paid parking is available at the Center, with all parking fees supporting Asheville FM. Enter on Rankin Ave.

(Sylva, NC September 2, 2023) Jackson Arts Market, JAM Glass Gallery & Jackson County Arts Council are proud to host the second annual 4M Festival. Attendance is free to this celebration of Blue Ridge mountain culture, art, and nature. The event features 11 hours of live music, 45 live art demonstrations & workshops, speakers & performances, food trucks, bar & restaurant, wild foods, 80+ local artists vending, and much more to discover. Admire the dazzling variety of the Sparkle Glass show, an exclusive exhibit curated inside the JAM Glass Gallery.
This educational event shares a wide array of first hand experiences, guaranteed to delight everyone. Interactive workshops range from paint classes to steel forging to “backyard tea” foraging. Educational lectures by local environmental activists will share ways to help save our planet and preserve mountain heritage. Artisans, modern and traditional, will be there to demonstrate their craft to the public.
In 2022, the 4M Festival was a smashing success, seeing attendance of over 3,000 guests and over 50 vendors and demonstrators. This year the event has expanded. “We aim for 4M to connect guests with opportunities to learn and participate with local organizations, arts, nature, and continue being engaged.” Says Event Organizer Joshua Murch. There will be two stages, one at the Jackson Arts Market for music and the other at the Paper Mill Lounge for educational lectures. Don’t miss out on the exquisite craftsmanship of The Sparkle Glass Show. This shimmering exhibit inside the JAM Glass Gallery will feature over 75 glass artists’ glistening pieces. Connected to the gallery is a live glassblowing studio with artists demonstrating throughout the day.

And with free admission and a gorgeous mountain view, you can’t beat it.” Says Chloe Burnette-Turner, local forager and assistant coordinator at the Jackson Arts Market. Located in the center of historic downtown Sylva, 4M is in proximity to fantastic restaurants, breweries and shops. Parking for the festival is around the corner at the Sylva First United Methodist Church. Event goes from 10am-6pm on Saturday September 2nd at 533 West Main St, Sylva and adjacent properties.
