Everyone is invited to our monthly game night. I bring a group of games each month but feel free to bring your own as well. No specific games are set up for the night, we just bring a bunch of stuff from our collections and play some pick-up games. We have the tables and chairs. Bring your own food if you’d like (there is a microwave and fridge). There is also a Chinese place across the street, a convenience store for drinks and snacks, and we’re in walking distance to Hot Dog World. If you have any questions about the types of games we play and basic info about our group, Read our FAQ (https://www.meetup.com/HendoHometownGameGeeks/about/)
NOTE: This event is held at a church but it is not a church event, it is a community event. Everyone is welcome, everyone should feel comfortable attending, and while I’m always happy to privately answer questions about my faith or the church if asked, proselytizing is not the purpose of these gatherings. I hope the location does not make anyone feel uncomfortable and if you have any questions you can message me directly.
Please bring folding chair, snacks if preferred.
We’ll start with basics of meditation and meditation practice.
Following, we’ll have a more in-depth discussion with the goal of developing greater self-awareness. We’ll have a variety of topics to choose from. Meet at 711 South Grove St. Ste B, Hendersonville (WNC Functional Health)
We gather on Tuesday evenings to share a dharma teaching, meditate for 20 minutes, followed by a group discussion. We come together to create a sangha community, and support each other as we deepen, reignite or begin our practice. We are diverse in age, experience and cultural backgrounds but share an interest in Buddhist teachings, specifically Thich Nhat Hanh, but draw from many wells. There is no charge as the dharma and practice should not have a price and be available to everyone. Sangha members are starting kirtan, a book club, and various musical and ceremonial gatherings.
Come join us for some board game merriment! No need to bring a game for this one. Well played in Asheville has over 700 games to choose from. It is $7 to get in and play till you drop. You may come to the full day (10am-4pm, recommended, $120) which includes two Breathwork Meditation Sessions and a session of Self-discovery. You may also come to the first Breathwork Meditation Session only (10am-1pm, $60).

Please join us as we learn about and practice the White Flower Meditation, as taught by Amma, known as the Hugging Saint.
The purpose of Amma’s White Flower Meditation is two-fold: To strengthen ourselves in health, peace and harmony and to spread light and positive energy to all corners of the earth.
We will begin with some instructions, as it will be easier to know the visualizations of the meditation ahead of time. A 10 minute breathing, grounding and calming practice and quiet time followed by a recording with Amma speaking and her Swami guiding the White Flower Mediation.
After the meditation, we will have time for sharing. Feel free to bring some treats to share but it is not necessary.
Aloha and Great Blessings, Mani
This event is free, however please keep this in mind: Being a meetup host costs $198.00 a year and we ask for donations to help cover these costs, so that these events can continue to take place for all of us. Thank you in advance for helping.
