Becky Robinson: She Gone Tour — POSTPONED, NEW DATE
UPDATE: The Becky Robinson show previously scheduled for September 29, 2024 is rescheduled for May 4, 2025 at 7 p.m. Tickets already purchased will automatically be transferred to the new date.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Becky Robinson is an LA-based comedian, writer, actor and voice-over star. Becky’s explosively unique character antics and viral videos now make her one of the youngest headliners on the circuit. In 2018, Becky was named a JFL Montreal New Face of Comedy where her stand out performance landed her a sketch show development deal and a number of voiceover jobs with DreamWorks and Netflix. In 2016, Becky was cast on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out with Nick Cannon where she also put out a Wild ‘N Out Stand Up Special.
Most known for her wide range of physical characters on stage and screen, Becky’s many alter ego’s have been featured in Hulu’s Coming to the Stage, MTV’s Acting Out, ABC’s The Bachelor and Kevin Hart’s sketch series Writer’s Room. Becky has written for Comedy Central’s Not Safe, Snoop Dogg’s Joker’s Wild and FunnyOrDie.
We are beyond excited to announce that The Asheville Improv Festival has been rescheduled to May 7-10, 2025!
As everyone knows, last fall the Western North Carolina region suffered the most devastating flooding in a century. The beautiful place we call home was forever scarred and changed. But true to form, this region had each other’s backs and staged quite an incredible comeback. While some areas are still damaged, we by all means welcome the world back to the Appalachian mountains you know and we love!

How it Works:

The Saluda Downtown Foundation is proud to celebrate Saluda’s heritage and art culture at the 20th anniversary of the Saluda Arts Festival. Asheville, NC — May 18, 2025 – Nationally touring comedian Sam Miller brings his raw, hilarious, and heart-forward stand-up to The Urban Orchard in Asheville for one night only. Known for his towering presence (literally—he’s 6’6”, 360 pounds) and deeply personal stories, Sam offers audiences a comedy experience that’s as healing as it is hysterical.
Miller, who’s been sober for 15 years, draws from his experience as a parent, a recovering addict, and a blue-collar weirdo with a giant heart. His comedy often explores the absurdity of being a sober dad in a chaotic world, and he’s earned national attention for his unique voice and unforgettable stage presence.
His debut album and special, Round Trip, produced by Grammy-winner Dan Schlissel (Stand Up! Records), debuted at #1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts and broke into the Top 200 overall. Sam is also a recurring guest on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show (with over 2.5 million listeners), has written for Newsweek, and was the runner-up in the 2021 Seattle International Comedy Competition.

AN AFTERNOON OF STORYTELLING WITH DONALD DAVIS Sunday, May 25, 2025 | 4:00-6:00 PM
Join us On Sunday, May 25, as we welcome Donald Davis to Wells Events Center for an afternoon of storytelling. Donald Davis grew up in Waynesville and will bring much joy and laughter to your heart as you hear him tell of happenings back-in-the-day. You will recognize familiar family names and area locations as he brings his stories to life and adds warm-hearted feelings of days-gone-by in this small mountain town.
Doors open at 4:00 with light hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, and storytelling begins at 5:00.
Calling all young storytellers ages 8-13!
Gallery Tales is a 6-week program where kids explore various art pieces in the gallery to spark their imaginations and create incredible stories. Each week, participants will engage in interactive writing lessons, write unique tales, and gain the skills and confidence to become published authors. At the end of the program, every young writer will leave with their very own professionally published book and the opportunity to share their work and accomplishments with an audience of family and friends at a special Kids Open Mic Showcase!

Kate Wargo is a passionate educator with a decade of experience teaching in elementary classrooms. The highly anticipated Community Concert is returning to Pack Square Park in Downtown Asheville on Thursday, May 29, 2025, and this year’s lineup promises to deliver another unforgettable evening of live music, local food, and community spirit. The event will feature Steep Canyon Rangers, one of the most renowned names in bluegrass and Americana music, along with the incredible opening act, Sam Burchfield and the Scoundrels. The Community Concert is presented by Oskar Blues Brewery, Dale’s, and Fred Anderson Subaru.
This celebration of community is FREE to attend, with General Admission available to all. Join us in celebration of the Summer Solstice with an evening of bold, imaginative storytelling!
We’ll begin with a short introduction to tall tales—a playful style of story where characters are bigger than life, the details are wildly exaggerated, and nothing is too impossible to imagine. Think tornado-taming, moon-jumping, pancake-stacking kind of adventures.
Then, kids will explore the gallery to find a piece of art that sparks their own tall tale. With notebooks in hand, they’ll write their stories and return for a joyful story-sharing circle to close the night.

Asheville is invited to RAD Brewing on Saturday, June 21st, for RAD Solstice! This is a celebration of the Summer Solstice and the ongoing renewal of Asheville’s River Arts District.
Here’s how you can be involved in RAD Solstice:
• Be there! Come in costume, don your finest hat, or…just come as you are!
• Join the RAD Solstice Drum Krewe! Drummers should plan to attend 2-4 practice sessions to perform with the group on RAD Solstice afternoon. We will have 4 drumming meetups on Thursday evenings – May 29, June 5, 12, & 19 – at RAD Brewing. Participation is free and everyone is welcome (ages 14-adult)! • Support Local Artists – We will have a selection of art vendors on site with an amazing array of art available! (See below for artist details.) Additionally, Odyssey Clayworks just down the street will be running live demos and lessons in their studios at 236 Clingman Ave. Odyssey Gallery of Ceramic Arts will have their doors open for business, and RADA will be hosting their Saturday art market for displaced artists just down the block at Pinegate Renewables. The galleries and studios of the upper RAD will be open and ready for your visit. It will be a perfect day to browse and support Asheville’s art community!
• Have a Beer or Two – RAD Brewing is a cozy, community brewery that makes fantastic beers onsite – featuring 16 unique brews on tap. They are generously opening their space to host RAD Solstice. Three cheers for RAD Brewing!!!
