Celebrate Land Trust Day, Saturday, June 7, with Mast General Store! Meet representatives from Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy. The Asheville Mast Store will donate 20% of the day’s sales to this land trust partner so that it may continue its mission of helping our community maintain its natural landscapes, create shared open spaces, and preserve the beauty that lies just beyond our own backyards!
Dad Jokes Standup Comedy Picture Show
Everyone loves dads doing jokes! Lucky for you these are professional comedians giving you more laughs than groans. Comics on the show do standup with pictures to illustrate their sets!!

Since 2022, Prelude has raised more than $1 million to support our Student Scholarship Fund. Each year, we award nearly $2 million in merit and need-based support to more than 600 students, so they can benefit from the Brevard “experience” each summer.
The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails and our Silent Auction, followed by dinner, entertainment, and exciting Live Auctions—all to support the Student Scholarship Fund of Brevard Music Center!

Elderflower Community, a local non-profit, is thrilled to announce its grand re-opening on June 26, 2025. The celebration marks a significant milestone for the Elderflower property, which has been rebuilt and enhanced after being forced to close its doors due to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene last fall.
The grand re-opening event will take place from 4-7pm at the newly renovated building located at 1611 Charlotte Hwy, Fairview. All community members are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable confirmation of our community’s resilience and strength. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the property, food, and music.

Kanuga is thrilled to announce the return of its Summer Day Camps for rising first through sixth graders, with five weeklong sessions planned for June and July 2025, at its Bob Campbell Youth Campus. Registration is now open.
In the serene mountains of Western North Carolina, campers will find fun and adventure in action-packed sessions staffed by well-trained, compassionate adults who specialize in keeping young children safe, entertained and engaged. Kanuga’s wooded campus offers children the opportunity to play, explore, swim in mountain lakes, hike to scenic vistas, paddle canoes, create arts and crafts and so much more.

Beach Babes Standup Comedy Show brings the vibes to the mountains in the heart of downtown Asheville! Roman Fraden his not for the faint of heart. 18+
Roman is a Los Angeles-based comedian and a regular performer at classic Hollywood venues including The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv. He has trained with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre, performed in various ensemble casts in film and on stage, and has opened for Mark Normand, Margaret Cho, and Patton Oswald. His one man show ‘Back In The Closet’ made it’s world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. He currently is living in Asheville while still performing everywhere.

The Asheville Bridge Room (ABR) announces a 10-week beginners and refresher course, “So, You Want to Play Bridge?” at Congregation Beth Israel, 229 Murdock Avenue, Asheville. The course, including play of the hand each week, begins on Wednesday, July 23 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon.
Sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL), the well-established ABR was formerly located in the River Ridge Shopping Plaza for many years. These new classes are designed for adults, either new players or those who seek a review of the basics. The $60.00 registration fee includes both the 10-week course and the textbook. The teacher is Lisa Bryant, an ACBL certified bridge director and educator.
Other games are scheduled on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:30; Fridays at 12:00; and some Sundays at 1:00. Game signup is $8.00.
Whether you’re a member of the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) or not, if you are interested in new challenges, love the competition, want to meet new people and learn more, the ABR is the perfect place to mingle with others of diverse backgrounds who share your passion and desire to grow their skills.
