Join Reiki Master Teacher and Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Kate Wargo of Woven Light LLC in a soothing Yoga Nidra (Yogic Sleep) practice guiding you into the “in between”; that space between being awake and being asleep. Within this space, a dream will be induced taking you into a state of consciousness that can bring about immense healing in your conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind. The cave will transform into a “Nidra Nest” with zero gravity chairs, blankets, and bolsters to fully support you, whether sitting or lying down, for the entire experience. Release stuck emotions, rest, and rejuvenate!

From farm-fresh produce and meats to baked goods, crafts, and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone. Join us from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a celebration of food, farms, and family in a lively community atmosphere.
The Asheville Dream Center is organizing the summer’s largest serve day! On Saturday, June 28, hundreds of volunteers across Asheville and surrounding areas will unite for Love Our City Serve Day, a large-scale outreach initiative aimed at uplifting communities through service, celebration, and strategic partnerships.
Taking place from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., this coordinated event spans multiple neighborhoods and includes enhanced Adopt-A-Block efforts, block parties, food distribution, and community support projects—bringing tangible help and hope to families across the region.
“This is one of the most impactful days of the year for us,” says Organization Founder, Michelle Coleman. “We’re not just doing service projects—we’re investing in long-term relationships and community transformation.”

SoulCollage® is a playful and transformative method that helps us acknowledge all aspects of self. The process helps us discover our unique inner/outer guides and challengers in life. Together we will explore and express ourselves by making our own personalized deck, sharing cards, journaling, and consulting our cards about our own life questions. We will use simple tools—images, 5×8 cards, scissors, and glue, so no artistic experience needed!
Open Studio is a time when supplies and space will be available to create cards for your deck. You can drop in for a little while or stay the entire time. New and experienced practitioners welcome! While this is mainly time for independent creation, Michelle will be there to chat, answer questions, provide tips, and guide you through the process. If you’ve been curious about SoulCollage® this is a great way to get started.
Bring your water bottle and something to journal with. All other supplies will be provided.

Start your celebration off with a BANG and support Western North Carolina!
Join us for an exciting family-friendly 5K event in the heart of beautiful downtown Asheville! Our scenic route begins and ends at Pack Square, the vibrant center of the city, taking participants through the charming streets of downtown.
This is truly a community event designed for participants of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you’re a seasoned runner looking for a fun local race or a family wanting to enjoy some active time together for the holiday, this event is perfect for you. We’re excited to be partnering with Food Connection as our nonprofit partner for the 3rd year in a row.
We encourage bringing your family and friends to make it a memorable group experience. Register four or more people at the same time and receive a 15% discount. Strollers and dogs are welcome but are asked to start at the back of the pack. Walkers are welcome but we ask that you plan on finishing within an hour and 15 minutes. The race is capped at 500 runners.
This free festival promises fun for the whole family, featuring the incredible Amazing Air Dogs and a host of other family-friendly activities throughout the day.
As the sun sets, get ready for an evening of free live music featuring headliner The Pink Stones, accompanied by delicious food and beverage vendors serving up tasty treats. And of course, no Independence Day would be complete without a spectacular fireworks extravaganza lighting up the night sky, bringing our festivities to a memorable close. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable celebration of freedom and community!
It’s time to pledge allegiance to the glam at Blue Ridge Drag Bingo – Asheville’s most star-spangled way to give back! The first ball drops at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4th at the Hilltop Event Center. Tickets start at $20, include bingo cards, and are available at https://BeardedLadyProductions.org. This event is for ages 21 and up.
This month, Blue Ridge Bingo salutes sparkle and serves up sass with a Red, White, and Blue bash designed to unleash everyone’s inner patriot. Guests can expect six rounds of firework-worthy bingo, fabulous prizes, and tunes hotter than a midsummer night’s sequin. Leading this affair is the one and only Divine, the Bearded Lady – a hostess with unmatched flair and star-spangled sparkle. Attendees are encouraged to dress to impress in their boldest red, whitest whites, and bravest blues.
Proceeds from this month’s Bingo will go to OurVOICE, whose mission is to inspire hope and healing while ending sexual violence and human trafficking in the community through education, counseling, and advocacy. They provide support for survivors of sexual violence ages 13+ in Buncombe County, as well as survivors of human trafficking ages 13+ in Buncombe, McDowell, and Transylvania Counties. Celebrate the Full Moon by immersing yourself with the healing vibrations of a Sound Bath! The full moon offers a boost in healing to our energy field.
Join your host Kristin Hillegas, for a one-hour Serenity Sound Bath and experience a deeply immersive, full-body sound and vibrational experience. A sound bath can cleanse your soul, restore your balance, surround you with peace and tranquility and stimulate healing.
Note: Please bring a yoga mat/pillow/blanket since you will be lying on the floor. Wear warm, comfortable, and flexible clothing.
The Sound Bath will take place upstairs in the Education Building. Choose your space starting at 6:15 PM, doors close promptly at 6:30 PM.
This session is being offered on a Sliding Scale of $10-$20.
Accessible parking is available in the Center for Spiritual Living Asheville upper parking lot. The entrance to the upper parking lot is off of S. Bear Creek Rd between Science of Mind Way and Sand Hill Rd.
There is a boardwalk walk-way from the upper parking lot to the building entrance.

Roman is a Los Angeles-based comedian and a regular performer at classic Hollywood venues including The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, and The Hollywood Improv. He has trained with Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre, performed in various ensemble casts in film and on stage, and has opened for Mark Normand, Margaret Cho, and Patton Oswald. His one man show ‘Back In The Closet’ made it’s world premiere at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2018. He currently is living in Asheville while still performing everywhere.

Beth Lee is an award-winning songwriter who migrated from Austin, TX to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. Her writing is heavily influenced by bluegrass and classic country music. Join us for a welcoming and inclusive New Moon Circle, where all bodies and all genders are invited to participate in this sacred gathering. This event is a beautiful opportunity to pause, reflect, and align with the energies of the New Moon—a powerful time for setting intentions and manifesting our desires for the month ahead.
Our circle will begin with a grounding meditation, creating a space for relaxation and inner connection. Together, we will share our personal intentions, holding space for one another in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. We will also dive into the astrological influences of the New Moon and other energetic currents, discussed in an accessible way that resonates with both beginners and seasoned practitioners.
By the end of the circle, you will leave with greater clarity and purpose, feeling empowered to take inspired action as you move forward into the new lunar cycle. Whether you’re new to moon rituals or a longtime participant, this circle will offer insight, connection, and a sense of renewal.

What to Bring:
A journal and pen
Please bring any comfort items you may desire: blankets, pillows, bolsters, eye mask, etc. We do not yet have enough community items for everyone.
An altar item – this can be a photo, crystal, something you found in nature that you desire to help hold the imprint of our time together.
Your sober self. This is a sober event, meaning no substances other than your own sacred being.

🌑 All are welcome. There is no competition or hierarchy here—no one is above or below another. We meet as equals, honoring the wisdom within each of us.
🌑 Self-awareness over judgment. If judgment arises (because we are human), see it as an opportunity for self-reflection. We are all mirrors for one another.

🌑 Honor your needs. Move as you need to—get water, use the restroom, grab a tissue. You are a sovereign being and can care for yourself as needed.
