Come out in a family friendly costume with your well behaved dog (costumes highly encouraged) and help raise funds for Eblen Charities work! All dogs will receive a treat, and all humans will be entered into raffles for prizes. All funds raised go to our work to keep people housed, with working utilities and other essential needs. The Adventure Center of Asheville is excited to host the 10th annual Haunted Trail, Asheville’s only family friendly haunt! This event is ideal for Halloween lovers of all ages, 3-12 being the suggested age range. This is the third year in a row the Adventure Center has hosted this one of a kind live outdoor theatrical experience where guests are promised an entirely immersive and interactive spooky night out while also ensuring no contact. Every year the show is loved by boils and ghouls from all over WNC and we hope to see you there! For younger guests who still aren’t sure about being scared, even for fun, a “Sweet Peek Tour’ is offered nightly at 6:45 pm. The trail is actor free at this time and they can decide if they would like to re enter the line and receive the full show. The Treetop Adventure Park Aerial Glow Trail is also available for guests 4 years or older to enjoy at this event! Climb on two of our aerial trails while they are illuminated with thousands of colorful twinkle and laser lights. If you want to enjoy both of these amazing activities, combo passes are available and WILL sell out, so make sure you reserve your tickets early! *The Haunted Trail does not sell out, however the entrance closes at 9 pm. Don’t miss PIRATES COVE! Featuring a 30 ft Pirate Ship Escape Room- Test ‘yer wit mateys! 10 voyages available nightly for purchase (groups of up to 6 per voyage) Live Mermaid Encounter with photo opportunity. Pirate activities including a walk the plank obstacle course and shark feeding In addition to the Haunted & Aerial Glow Trails and Pirates Cove, there will be a giant festival tent with several local vendors, delicious Mellow Mushroom Pizza and more! Ticket sales to this event raise meals for MANNA food bank, come have fun and help us say BOO! to hunger!
The Artist Support Grant provides funding emerging or established artists to create work, improve their business operations, or bring their work to new audiences. Grants range from $500-3,000.

The drawing will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 3:00pm EDT. All mail, phone, and internet orders must be received by 11:59pm EDT on Monday, November 14, 2022.
TICKETS
The cost to purchase a single entry (“Ticket”) for the Raffle is $125 (U.S. Funds only) and is not tax deductible.
DETAILS
- By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by BMC for publicity purposes.
- The winner may choose a new 2022 Volvo, Subaru, or Hyundai prize vehicle from Hunter Automotive Group of Fletcher, NC with an MSRP up to $50,000.
- Vehicle choice will be subject to the current available inventory of the dealer. BMC reserves the right to substitute a Volvo, Subaru, or Hyundai model of equal value.
- The winner is responsible for all taxes, delivery costs, dealer fees, and any options he or she may choose above the vehicle’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) greater than $50,000.
- The gross winnings of the raffle will be reported to the federal and state tax authorities at the MSRP and the winner is responsible for income tax withholding prior to taking title to the prize.
- Individuals may purchase as many tickets as they wish; however, only 1,500 tickets will be sold.

Once the winner has selected a prize vehicle, the Dealer will notify BMC of the award vehicle’s MSRP. BMC will calculate the required federal income taxes due. The raffle winner is responsible for remitting the funds to BMC for the federal income tax. Brevard Music Center is required by law to report the base MSRP of the vehicle the winner chooses as gaming income to federal and state authorities and to withhold and deposit federal income taxes equal to 25% of the MSRP less the wager (raffle ticket). The winner’s payment of the federal taxes to BMC will be deposited with the US Federal Treasury and the winner will receive credit for the taxes remitted. In order for the dealer to release the winner’s vehicle, the winner will need to provide the following to BMC:

Local artists and arts advocates can now reserve tickets ($45) for the inaugural 2022 State of the Arts Brunch, taking place Wednesday, November 2 from 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. at The Orange Peel in downtown Asheville. Organized by the Asheville Area Arts Council, the brunch provides a critical snapshot of the current state of our creative sector. It also connects all members of the arts community, no matter their medium or method of participation, through celebration, education, and activation.
The brunch offers not only the opportunity to connect with area artists, but also to learn and share information essential to sustaining a thriving arts community. Asheville Area Arts Council Executive Director Katie Cornell will share the State of the Arts update – a report on the present and future of the arts in Asheville and Buncombe County. The update will highlight topics including overall creative jobs and industry sales for 2022, the Buncombe County Creative Jobs pandemic report, a creative manufacturing study co-developed by the Arts Council with Land of Sky and Riverbird Research, and more.
The Arts Council will also share a not-to-be-missed announcement that will shape the future of the arts in Asheville, including several exciting new contributions the organization will make to the local arts community.
Additionally, featured speakers Mayor Esther Manheimer and Buncombe County Board of Commissioners Chair Brownie Newman will share remarks about how the City and County support arts and culture.
John Ellis, longtime arts advocate and former Executive Director of the Diana Wortham Theatre, now the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts, will be presented with the John Cram Arts Leadership Award (the “Crammy”), honoring his contribution to the arts in Asheville. Ellis will also announce his choice of local arts-based nonprofit organization or community project to receive an arts council grant of $1,000.
Attendees will enjoy a hearty, family-style brunch spread courtesy of 67 Biltmore, hosted in the spacious, lively Orange Peel (101 Biltmore Ave.), one of the premier performance venues in downtown Asheville.
“If you care about the arts in our area, this is the event for you,” said Katie Cornell, Executive Director of the Arts Council. “This is Asheville’s creative pulse check with exciting announcements, a delicious meal, and great conversation – you won’t want to miss it!”
Ticket sales will support the Arts Council’s mission to keep the arts at the heart of our community. Table sponsorship is available beginning at $1,000. Other opportunities to support the Arts Council and, by extension, the local arts community, are available as well.
The State of the Arts Brunch is part of the Asheville Area Arts Council’s ongoing Creative Sector Series. The Series has also included moderated town hall meet-and-greet events where artists and advocates have met candidates for state and local offices. The cost to purchase a single entry (“Ticket”) for the Raffle is $125 (U.S. Funds only) and is not tax deductible.

- By entering this raffle, entrants accept and agree to be bound by all the rules, limitations and restrictions set forth here and that their names and/or likenesses may be disclosed to and used by the news media and may otherwise be used by BMC for publicity purposes.
- The winner may choose a new 2022 Volvo, Subaru, or Hyundai prize vehicle from Hunter Automotive Group of Fletcher, NC with an MSRP up to $50,000.
- Vehicle choice will be subject to the current available inventory of the dealer. BMC reserves the right to substitute a Volvo, Subaru, or Hyundai model of equal value.
- The winner is responsible for all taxes, delivery costs, dealer fees, and any options he or she may choose above the vehicle’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) greater than $50,000.

This November, Hendersonville audiences will have a fundraiser like no other. Patti O’Furniture, celebrity drag queen, will host a drag bingo fundraiser on November 5. The evening will feature two shows, a family-friendly show at 7 PM and an adults-only (18 and over) show at 9 PM. Tickets are $35 and are available online at HVLtheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at (828) 692-1082. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10 percent discount.
All proceeds will benefit Hendersonville Theatre. The ticket price includes a bingo card (a $5 value) and one beverage. Prizes will be awarded for winners of each round of bingo, as well as most creatively dressed. The fundraiser is sponsored by Dogwood, Hendersonville Pride, Lawn Fawn, Nichola Rae Photography, Raymond’s Garden Center, Street Fair, The Poe House, Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique and Water Cat Conduit.
Recently seen on season two of HBO’s We’re Here, Patti O’Furniture is making her Hendersonville debut. Patti is one of the most sought-after emcees in the region. She first hit the stage in 1999 and has been entertaining audiences across the country ever since. A fixture in the Charleston, Charlotte and Columbia drag scene, Patti has been named Miss South Carolina Pride and Miss Red Ribbon Friends of Myrtle Beach, where she spent her reign raising money for HIV/AIDS services along the SC coast.
In 2012, she was presented with the crown and title of Vista Queen Emeritus for her fundraising for Trustus Theatre in Columbia where she helped raise over $75,000 to support professional theatre.
Patti’s alter ego is a college professor from Spartanburg, SC. One thing has remained consistent since that very first show: every dollar that Patti collects on stage gets donated back to the community. All of her tips are donated to causes including HIV/AIDS prevention and education, animal welfare, LGBTQ+ civil rights, the environment and a host of local arts organizations. To date, she has raised over $1.5 million.
Since 1966, Hendersonville Theatre has provided an inviting and nurturing environment for live theatre, as well as high-quality, affordable entertainment for the residents of Hendersonville and surrounding areas. Hendersonville Theatre is wheelchair accessible, with free parking behind and in front of the theater.
