Sharing the program with Beethoven is one such early inspiration: C.P.E. Bach. Son of J.S. Bach and a master in his own right, C.P.E. Bach left a huge impact on future generations, including Beethoven. Rounding out the program is Brahms, the man perhaps most preoccupied with Beethoven’s legacy. As Beethoven’s de facto successor, Brahms revered, grappled with, and eventually transcended his idol’s legacy through his magnificent symphonies.

The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains is hosting “Strings of Hope”, a concert to support local builders, suppliers, and industry professionals impacted by Hurricane Helene. The event, from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, will feature live performances from Cuberow, The Asheville Mountain Boys, Red Clay Revival, and Fireside Collective. Conveniently located in the heart of the Historic Montford District of Asheville, North Carolina, the Outdoor Hazel Robinson Amphitheatre is easy to get to and accessible from I-240 and I-26. And, it’s just a short drive down Montford Avenue from downtown.

Late one night after closing the restaurant where they both work, Lina and Roberto unexpectedly find themselves in conversation. This exquisite play with music renders the near hits and misses that are the reality of life for this waitress and immigrant dishwasher as we watch three alternate realities unfold over the course of the night.

Little Deaths is a nuanced, emotional and intimate step inward for the otherwise hyperbolic band
The Collection, the North Carolina-based indie-pop band founded by frontman David Wimbish.
In their time together, the tightly knit, six members of The Collection have inspired listeners with
their raucous, folk-based indie-pop sound, resulting in an unabashed positivity and participatory
spirit of shared celebration, creating an almost congregational connection with their audience.
The Collection built their familial fan base over three independent albums, 2014’s full-length debut
Ars Moriendi, Listen To The River [2017] and Entropy [2018]. The latter featured “Beautiful Life,”
and its 8.7 million-and-counting Spotify streams, earning the band praise from American

Located within the wildly-popular and botanically beautiful Southern Appalachian Mountains, The North Carolina Arboretum offers more than 10 miles of hiking trails that connect to many other area attractions such as Lake Powhatan, the Pisgah National Forest and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visitors of all ages and abilities can enjoy their hiking experience at the Arboretum as trail options include easy, moderate, and difficult challenge levels. All trails are dog-friendly and visitors are asked to adhere to the proper waste disposing procedures for pets.
